Will there be 'Echo' Season 2? Here's an update on Marvel's mini-series
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Echo', the tenth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may not be renewed for another season. Released on Disney+ and Hulu, the mini-series features Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez aka Echo.
'Echo' was announced around the release time of 'Hawkeye'. Alaqua was introduced as Echo in the 2021 mini-series and the announcement of her own spin-off kept fans abuzz.
Here's why 'Echo' might not be renewed for another season
The chances of 'Echo' getting another season are quite slim. 'Echo' has been made as a mini-series and the story of Maya Lopez is wrapped up within five episodes.
Most of the Marvel series that have come out on Disney+ in recent years have concluded within a single season, with 'Loki' being an exception.
However, there has also been no announcement from MCU regarding 'Echo' Season 2.
What is the plot of 'Echo'?
Marvel's 'Echo' follows the events of 'Hawkeye' (2021 release) and revolves around Maya Lopez/Echo, a deaf and amputee Choctaw woman who used to lead the Tracksuit Mafia.
She leaves New York and returns to her home in Oklahoma where she traces her past while reconnecting with her Native American roots.

Actress Alaqua Cox plays the central character of Maya Lopez, a deaf Native American Choctaw and the former leader of the Tracksuit Mafia, a criminal gang working for Wilson Fisk.

Wilson Fisk is a crime lord in New York. He is also Maya's adoptive uncle and was responsible for her father's death. The character is played by Vincent D'Onofrio, who was previously seen reprising the same role in 'Daredevil' (2015-2018) and 'Hawkeye' (2021).
