However, social media users have dug up a bit about Colin and found some controversial Instagram and Facebook posts that made them question his character. Colin Stough's controversial posts resurfaced

Colin shared a meme in June 2021 which recently resurfaced on the internet. In the post, an African-American man with sagging pants was contrasted with the Confederate War Memorial statue that was erected in 1906 in Covington, Georgia. Colin wrote in the caption, "How does a statue being in the same place for 100 years suddenly become offensive and men walking around in public with there [sic] a** showing not offensive? Are people really this ignorant?" However, this is not the only controversial post that Colin had shared in the past. The Sun reported that Colin was tagged in a December 2020 post from D.T.D (Deer Turkey & Ducks) Outdoors & Monroe County Whitetails Unlimited, a nonprofit that supports the hunting and shooting of wild animals.

The caption of the post reads, "Congratulations!!! Colin Stough for getting a little predator control done and meat in the freezer." Colin also shared the same photo on his social media and appeared to hold a large wild cat he had hunted and killed. In the third controversial post, Colin shared a story titled, "Donald Trump says flying the Confederate flag is 'freedom of speech'," in July 2020. A Reddit user shared the post and accused Colin of 'supporting' the Confederate flag, which many US citizens now consider to be a racist symbol. However, soon after noticing the backlash, Colin deleted all his previous social media posts.

'Entirely unsurprising'

Social media users have brutally slammed Colin over his resurfaced posts. A Reddit user commented, "Well…if you’re supporting Trump and the confederate flag…you’re kind of a POS anyway," while another critic added, "Seeing all the obvious crimes having been committed…it’s not a question of how you grew up. It’s a question of having shitty morals." A person noted, "Entirely unsurprising," while another comment read, "Not surprised tbh. They should check social media before allowing anyone through to top anything." Meanwhile, a user added, "Remember that Caleb Kennedy was just as young, if not slightly younger. He was not the one to wear the white pillow case in the video, either."
