SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Fans are shocked and worried as Apink's Chorong just revealed that she had gotten into a car accident a few days ago. While she continued with her activities, the injury has worsened which has led to her canceling an upcoming Bangkok performance. Many applauded her strong will to continue with the Japanese fanmeeting and are now asking for her to rest for the next fanmeeting.

On September 28, IST Entertainment announced that Apink's leader Chorong had actually been in a car accident a week ago. On September 21, on her way back home from practice at 10 pm KST, she got into an accident due to an inexperienced driver hitting her car. She injured her spine but initially could continue with her activities despite the pain. Not even a day later, she flew to Japan for a fanmeeting for her sub-unit Chobom along with Apink's Bomi.

Apink's Chorong gets in a car accident

Chorong was in good spirits and finished the Chobom fanmeeting in Japan on September 23 successfully to the point that Apink fans had no idea that something was wrong. Unfortunately, IST has now explained that the next fanmeeting that was to take place on October 1 in Bangkok has been put on hold till she recovers. The label said, "Chorong had performed in Japan with her strong will and on returning to South Korea she had undergone hospital treatment and gotten sufficient rest. However, the degree of pain has worsened a little and we have decided to postpone the Bangkok fanmeeting after receiving the opinion of a specialist."

'Get well soon'

The label apologised for worrying fans and promised to return and complete the rest of the 2022 Apink Chobom Fanmeetings after Chorong recovers. One fan tweeted, "The fact chorong didn’t tell us about it because she didnt want us to worry she’s such an angel." Another fan commented, "Get well soon Chorong Unnie Take a rest first. I love you." One fan added, "SHES THE SWEETEST GWS MY QUEEN CHORONG YOU REALLY ARE THE MOST PRECIOUS AND BEST LEADER."

Another shared, "Accident happened before the japan fanmeet but she pushed for it and now the pain is worse chorong my love… your health is the priority." One fan was touched, "The fact that Chorong still performed for the japan’s fan meeting because she didn’t want to disappoint the fans. Get well soon rongie."
