The Apink fandom is further getting divided with the latest activities of the girl group. On March 25, five of the members went on Instagram Live through Eunji’s account possibly for their upcoming fan song promotional content. The one who was missing was sadly the sixth member, Naeun, who had also previously been missing from all of the comeback promotions for their album ‘Horn’. It should be noted that she had left Apink’s label IST Entertainment and joined YG as an actress. However, she had time and again assured fans that she would always be a part of Apink.

An insider even claimed that YG had asked Naeun if she would leave Apink however she proved her loyalty by allegedly saying that she would not leave the group that had raised her and made her who she was. But while Naeun is trying her best to stay a part of Apink, to some fans, it seems that IST and Apink are not trying too hard to include her in return. Last year, Naeun was not included in the group’s new headshots and was missing from Bomi’s birthday celebrations.

During the promotions for their 11th-anniversary album ‘Horn’, many fans pointed out that Apink would never mention Naeun unless asked about her first. She had not been able to join as she had a schedule conflict during the promotional period. But Apink continued with their five-member schedules even after that period which has fans asking why is Naeun still missing. In the latest Instagram Live fans also saw a wall full of photos of Apink but there were reportedly none of Naeun.

Apink also made rings on February 23 to celebrate their anniversary. While there were materials for six rings, they showed only five and took a group photo too with just the five present members. OT6 fans were hurt that Apink did not try to include Naeun. Solo fans of Naeun went as far as to say that it would be better if she left the group too. They also pointed out groups that still include members that have left their labels like VIXX, Girls’ Generation and Mamamoo. With Apink now announcing a special fan song for their 11th anniversary, fans are disheartened that they have to even ask if Naeun will be participating too.

‘Please stop erasing her’

Naeun has ended up trending as these fans voiced their concerns. One tweeted, “But why do they even avoid putting naeun's pictures up. PLEASE STOP ERASING HER.” Another added that it wasn’t just YG’s fault for not letting Naeun join Apink, “Yall alws claim YG's at fault. Haven't we seen enough of apink's management team for the past decade? Naeun who is the yg artist have repeatedly been allowed to mention her members at award shows, magazine interviews but yall claim with your chest that YG is at fault here.”

One Panda wished Apink knew they were hurt, “Lets just accept the fact that there is really a naeun's erasure here...whether its on purpose or not i hope apink girls knows how we feel since horn era started coz it aint like it....” Another fan was angry, “Yall keep saying ‘theyre not erasing naeun so shut up’ then they go ahead and do an ot5 fanmeeting, ot5 dilemma promotions, go out of their way to record a who new ot5 ver performance film, ot5 reality show, make ot5 couple rings.” One Panda posted, “Naeun deserves better.”

Another fan was blunt, “How do i tell pandas that the naeun erasure is not just coming from the company but the members as well.” One fan was curious, “They had a group schedule 😭 and idek why the heck naeun still not here...horn promo already ended. release her.” Another wondered why Apink wouldn’t just mention her once, “Just telling us the reason why shes not there would be fine or even one little mention of her name . they act like naeun never existed n some people expect us to just not assume things?😭it really f**king sucks tbh.”

One fan asked, “I mean naeun is not in ist but she's still in apink! they could just get a ring for naeun too! and the members they never mentioned her as if they don't even know sonnaeun.. she has been there for 10 years not participating in one cb promotion means she's no more apink or what?” Another added, “The naeun erasure is a little too much, other groups in similar situation as them never had this issue. fine she cant participate in the filming whatsoever, MENTION HER THEN ? remind us that shes part of the group. include her in conversations. tag her on anniversary posts etc.”
