Reporter Lee Jinho reveals that Apink’s Naeun rejected YG Entertainment’s initial offer asking her to leave Apink to pursue her solo career

Apink’s Naeun has been going through a lot since it was last announced that she was joining the label YG Entertainment for her acting-related projects. With the news of Naeun signing with a new label came the fear amongst Pink Pandas (Apink fans) that she would be the second member to leave Apink making the group a five-member collective.

While Naeun’s decision to stay with Apink despite her departure from IST Entertainment (then, Play M Entertainment) did not seem as impactful then, fans are finally seeing how determined the singer was to stay with the group that made her who she is. In an exclusive video about Son Naeun, celebrity reporter and YouTuber, Lee Jinho revealed that Son Naeun was asked to leave Apink when she decided to sign with YG Entertainment and her adamant determination to stay with the group.

This new revelation has provoked many fans of Apink to talk about the many ways in which anti-fans, media as well as IST Entertainment have mistreated the idol.

YG Entertainment reportedly asked Naeun to exit Apink

In the YouTube video, Lee Jinho revealed that when Naeun initially decided to join YG Entertainment, the label had recommended that she leave her K-pop group, Apink, and start promoting her solo career as an actress. The YouTuber then claims that Naeun adamantly declined YG Entertainment’s offer to do so and continued to stay with Apink as a member of the group.

The report also said that Naeun proved her loyalty to Apink with whom she had spent 10 years since their debut in 2011 by saying, “How can I abandon the group that raised me and made me who I am today?” Although after her stern decision of staying with Apink, Naeun did not have any contract with Apink’s official label, IST Entertainment (then, Play M Entertainment) which has led fans to point out how Naeun was mistreated by IST Entertainment.

‘Naeun loves her members and fans’

Fans lauded Naeun for her loyalty towards Apink members and Pink Pandas as one said, “YG wanted Naeun to leave Apink but she is loyal to our girls and would never abandon us Pandas, so YG is acting like sh*t now by blocking Naeun from any Apink related activity except the MV & album production, what a trash agency..” Another fan said, “can anti apink stfu??? she surely changed her management on her own will but she also made it clear she's not leaving apink. both naeun & yg aware that freedom of her to participate on apink's activities while signing the contract yet you accused her fault for leaving ist?”

One more fan said, “For news about naeun, well, we know too well how much she loves Apink. She may have left IST but that doesn't mean she'll leave as Apink member too. Still, f*ck YG for trying to ruin everything.” One more fan said, “Today's news is hard to read and it breaks my heart but.. they made the right choice, the choice that seemed the fairest, the best for them. it must have been hard for naeun to fight for refusing to quit apink.” One more fan said, “Fck YG..Naeun loves her members and fans so much.”
