SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Fans are shocked and worried as it has been reported on September 29 that Golden Child's Bomin had been hit in the face with a wooden golf club. He has ended up getting a fracture and will have to undergo face surgery. The painful incident has fans worried for Bomin as they have taken to expressing their concern on social media.

Golden Child's label, Woollim Entertainment shared that on September 28, Bomin was undergoing a practice session for a personal schedule which requires him to know golf. Unfortunately, during the practice, the K-pop idol ended up accidentally getting hit in the face with a wooden golf club. Bomin was immediately taken to the ER and after treatment and a thorough examination, he will unfortunately have to get a surgery done.

Golden Child's Bomin to get face surgery after accident

Golden Child recently made a comeback with their sixth mini album 'Aura' in August and was also touring. However, Bomin will have to take a break to rest and recover. Regarding his hiatus, Woollim shared, "According to the medical staff’s diagnosis, surgery was recommended for his facial fracture, and we are currently coordinating a date for the surgery. Following the doctor’s recommendation that Bomin should undergo rehabilitation following the surgery, Bomin will focus on treatment and recovery for the time being. Therefore, it will be difficult for him to participate in Golden Child’s schedules for the time being and we will inform you of his return to activities in the future."

'That must hurt a lot'

Golden Child has been roped into performing at several K-pop ensemble concerts and festivals and is supposed to go to Tokyo and Manila. Fans are asking Bomin to rest as they left tweets like, "Hope everything went well and hope for a speed recovery for our choi bomin.... get well soon our sunshine." Another fan posted, "No.. bomin omg that must hurt a lot please get well soon and be okay."

One was shocked, "I'm??? bomin what the f**k baby i hope you heal fast but what did i just read." Another fan added, "Our bomin. God it's must hurt so much . I've seen patient with facial fracture before Hope he get plenty of rest and the surgery goes well too." One commented, "I’m like so worried."
