iKON 'Flashback': Bobby credited in every song of the album, fans call him 'a genius'

Members Bobby, DK, and Jay have participated in the making of the tracks in the album for the comeback

iKON is back and ready to take K-pop by storm with their latest album ‘Flashback’. The iconic third-gen boy group was one of the leading K-pop groups in the 2010s. However, fans were angry as their comebacks became extremely infrequent to the point that they were only dropping one release per year. After their participation in the fierce survival show ‘Kingdom’, they reminded the general population why they had been much loved in their early days.

We also had the members hinting at a comeback along with several solo projects. And now, it has been announced that iKON will be dropping their fourth mini-album ‘Flashback’. From the concept photos and teasers, it seems that the album is a combination of all of iKON’s past comebacks. Well, on April 25, the boy group released the tracklist for the album, and many were impressed that member Bobby was credited in every single track.

Bobby credited for every track

‘Flashback’ will have six tracks with ‘But You’ as the title track. The sixth track ‘At Ease’, which was iKON's finale song for ‘Kingdom’, will only be available for fans who purchase the physical album. Members Bobby and DK, as well as their labelmates Yoon and Mino of Winner, have participated in the creation of the tracks. Bobby has co-written the lyrics for all of the tracks and has helped compose ‘Dragon’ and ‘At Ease’. DK has written ‘For Real?’ and ‘Name’ and has also composed them, including ‘Dragon’ along with Jay. Yoon has helped make ‘Gold’, while Mino had collaborated with Bobby on ‘At Ease’. 

iKON’s album is set to be released digitally on May 3 at 6 pm KST (4 am ET) and the offline release will be on May 10.

‘Super proud’

Fans were impressed as they ended up trending Bobby. One iKONIC tweeted, “You already know it’s gonna be a masterpieces when you see bobby’s name there. bobby as the lyricist, composer and producer, IN BOBBY WE TRUST.” Another fan posted, “Daamn bobby participated in writing all the songs, wrote one all by himself (dragon)  and another together with donghyuk.. man is a writing genius.” One shared, “We'll getting 5 new songs for the upcoming comeback!!! And seeing bobby and donghyuk as who made the lyrics and as composers are damn sexy.”

Another commented, “Bobby composed dragon I know that's gonna be good noise music to throw it back.” One iKONIC added, “Now where are the people who always say bobby cannot focus on music just because he became a family man and i’ll slap this tracklist one by one on their faces.” Another fan wrote, “The amount of BOBBY and DK in there making me super proud and of course composer jinhwan. idc i know im gonna love all of it, the lyrics gonna be fire im afraid.”

One said, “Bobby’s name in every single freakin song im literally in tears.” Another iKONIC flexed, “Bobby has been included in Most Credited Idols on KOMCA with 87 songs and now it will be 92 songs credited under his name (5 songs in iKON FLASHBACK). BOBBY as a rapper, singer, songwritter, producer and composer. PROUD.”
