To be a contestant on 'Jeopardy!' is no easy task. It takes an immense amount of skill and knowledge to compete on the popular game show hosted by Ken Jennings. Owing to the fan-favourite format of the show, 'Jeopardy' now gives its top contenders a second chance at winning the top prize. As ScreenRant recently reported, 'Jeopardy! Champions Wildcard' airs from January 5 to January 16. This follows the airing of 'Jeopardy! Second Chance', which debuted earlier on December 15, 2025. As the title suggests, notable players who almost made it to the top spot on the show but lost in the final rounds would be invited for another shot.
The official 'Jeopardy!' website lists the format of the upcoming game show in detail. Following an initial round of three quarterfinal matches that will last till January 9, the winning contestants will proceed to the semi-finals, which will be telecast between January 12 and January 14. This round would see the winners of the quarter-finals competing with the top four non-winners as wildcards with the highest monetary sums. This would eventually culminate with the two-game finale episode airing on January 15 and 16, after which the final winners would be cleared for 'Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions'.

The second contestant in the roster is Michelle Tsai, who is a tutor from Honolulu, Hawaii. The final player is Geoff Barnes, who works as an analyst in Washington, D.C.
Moving on to the third game, Harvey Silikovitz is an attorney and a karaoke vocalist of repute from Orange, New Jersey, and will be trying his luck as one of the contenders. Alongside Silikovitz, Cameron Berry, a Brighton, Massachusetts-based college administrator and data analyst, will try to ensure the scoreboard tallies up in his favour during the game. On the other hand, real estate agent Jason Singer from Portland, Maine, will be the third participant. Similarly, the fourth game will feature contestants Jonathan Hugendubler, a trivia host and adjunct professor residing in Baltimore, Maryland; Pete Johnson, a filmmaker and teacher hailing from Alma, Michigan; and Vickie Talvola, a quantitative trader from Jersey City, New Jersey.
