BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Dr Paul Nassif, the star of 'Botched,' has revealed that he and his family are looking into the death of his elder brother, Chris Nassif. The talent agent and film producer died abruptly in 2022.

After turning down one of the patients, Asa, during the January 25 episode due to her poor heart condition, Dr Nassif took to X to recall how his brother "was getting an IV and while it was happening, he had a heart arrhythmia and died immediately. We're still looking into his situation more & coping with this shocking, unexpected loss, but hopefully his story can help others."

On 8 July 2022, the plastic surgeon posted on X, "Yesterday, on July 6th, we lost my older brother Chris Nassif, Sr. He was a beloved brother, father, husband and uncle."

"This was an unexpected and tragic event that has caused extreme sadness for us all. The Nassif family appreciates you respecting their privacy at this time," he stated.

Dr Nassif also turned to Instagram at the moment, posting a photo of his brother and a longer statement. "Yesterday I lost my big brother, unexpectedly. Words can’t begin to describe the loss that my family, his friends and I are feeling right now," he said.

"Chris Nassif was, and always will be, a legend. Nowadays, our world is obsessed with super heroes, but growing up… he was mine," he added.

Why did 'Botched' doctors turn down Asa?

The doctors on 'Botched' Season 8 had the most critical consultation of their careers when 24-year-old Asa expressed her desire to continue her cosmetic surgery journey to appear like a Calabasas MILF despite having a significant cardiac problem.

Soon after learning about Asa's history with cosmetic surgery, Dr Dubrow and Nassif were forced to turn down her request to get a diamond-shaped belly button. Dr Dubrow went on to warn the 24-going-on-45 patient, yelling, "This is no joke!" during Asa's consultation.
