'Game of Thrones' prequel 'House of the Dragon': Full list of release dates for ALL episodes and how to watch if you don't have HBO
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans got the first taste of the 'Game of Thrones' prequel as ‘House of the Dragon’ premiered globally on both HBO and HBO Max on August 21, 2022. Based on novelist George RR Martin’s ‘Fire & Blood', the series chronicles the riveting story of how House Targaryen ruled Westeros peacefully for about three hundred years and what brought the mighty dynasty down to ashes.
The first episode has aesthetically established main characters rather than filling it with gruesome action. ‘House of the Dragon’ is about family conflicts, with reference to the biggest civil war ‘Dance of the Dragons’ within House Targaryen. The conflicts get worse because of King Viserys I Targaryen's (Paddy Considine) decision to name his only daughter Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock / Emma D’Arcy) as his successor and next potential ruler to the Iron Throne. The following episodes will describe the journey of House Targaryen from the top to rock bottom. After the first episode, the entire release date list for all episodes of the prequel series has been revealed.
