LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sony Pictures Entertainment has just released a new trailer for its upcoming Marvel project, 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse'.  While the trailer looks nothing less than fabulous, fans spotted something else that stole their attention, which has been discussed in detail later. Speaking about 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse', the animated movie will be premiering on June 2 across theaters.

The official synopsis by Sony Pictures reads, "Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered." However, when they face a new threat, Miles finds himself in disagreement with his fellow Spiders on the best course of action. In order to save his loved ones, Miles must redefine his own definition of heroism and navigate a path towards their safety.

Spider-Man 2099 references 'No Way Home'

Coming back to the trailer, there is a dialogue by Spider-Man 2099 that has intrigued Marvel fans all over the world. He says, "And don't even get me started on Doctor Strange and the little nerd back on Earth-199999." Fans lost their minds as Earth-199999 is a direct reference to the Earth which belongs to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This was first stated in the 'Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z, Vol. 5' of 2008. Fans immediately started flooding Twitter with their thoughts and the excitement was overpowering to say the least. 

'Cannot wait to see what happens'

The captivating trailer has already gripped Marvel fans with much anticipation. Adding on top of that was the reference to Spider-Man of Earth-199999. "This caught my attention almost immediately. I cannot wait to see what happens," tweeted a fan. Whilst, another fan wrote, "IMAN VELLANI IMPACT!!"



 



 

'Collision of universes is on the horizon'

One thing about any multiverse theory is that fans do want to see different universes taking a go at each other. Same goes for the Marvel mutliverse. Fans didn't hold back from cooking up their own theories, which led to one fan tweeting, "Lets go it's happening the collision of universes is on the horizon." Another fan said , "Oh it's happening." One fan was particularly happy with the trailer getting the correct Earth number.

"And they actually correct the MCU being Earth-19999. Lets f**king goooooooooo," read a tweet. Another user gushed, "DUDE THEY MENTIONED THE MCU SPIDERMAN IN THE NEW TRAILER AND DOCTOR STRANGE AS WELL HOLY SHIT THATS F**KING AWESOME. AND THEY CONFIRMED THEIR UNIVERSE TO BE EARTH-199999 I'M LOSING MY SH*T RN"
