'Hawkeye' Episode 5 Spoilers: Kingpin revealed as villain, Wilson Fisk officially in MCU

Hawkeye episode 4 heavily hinted with the idea that Kingpin was involved in the story and confirmed him as the baddie in Episode 5

Spoilers for 'Hawkeye' Episode 5 'Ronin'

It took five episodes for 'Hawkeye' to ultimately introduce the villain and those who felt it was Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent d' Onofrio) nailed it. The final minutes of the episode see Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) receive a text from Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) that she had figured out who hired her to kill Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and it was none other than her mother, Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga) who has connections with Fisk. The move comes as a shocker in the episode that also sees Maya (Alaqua Cox) realize that her foster father was not the man she hoped he was.

Previously, we had speculated if Fisk was indeed the man who was the major threat in the series. 'Hawkeye' episode 4 heavily hinted with the idea that Kingpin was involved in the story, with Barton discovering that Jack Duquesne (Tony Dalton) was supposedly laundering money for a mysterious "big guy".

Oh my... #Hawkeye," one of the fans remarked. The move just earned the show new fans praising the show. "Like I've enjoyed all of the MCU shows, but #Hawkeye is genuinely one of the best, if not the best, of them. Every episode has been better than the last."

Fisk has made some appearances in Marvel films and TV shows in the past. The character was portrayed by John Rhys-Davies in 'The Trial of the Incredible Hulk', Michael Clarke Duncan in 'Daredevil', Vincent D'Onofrio in the MCU series 'Daredevil', and was even voiced by Liev Schreiber in the 2018 animated flick, 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'.

With these developments, 'Hawkeye' heads into a scintillating finale with a three-way battle between Barton, Fisk and Yelena.
