GOT7's Youngjae releases 'Colors from Ars' teaser, preorders for mini-album kickstart

Yougnjae releases the album preview and video call details for 'Colors from Ars' as he reveals his ash pink hair

After six other members made their solo debuts and comebacks since the group left JYPE, GOT7's sunshine, Youngjae is set to make a solo debut with 'Colors from Ars.' The new album from GOT7's Youngjae has been rumored for quite some time now but Ahgases had always waited for an official announcement. 

On September 17, one day after Youngjae celebrated his birthday, his agency, Sublime Artists Agency announced the release of his new album as Yougnjae also posted an update on his social media accounts. The first news of the album saw a teaser image and clip to officially announce the release of Youngjae's first solo project.

Colors from Ars

Many may not know but Youngjae has produced music in the past with the pseudonym Ars. The meaning of the Latin word, ars is art and Youngjae uses the pseudonym when he composes or writes his own music. This album will be Yougnjae's first attempt to show Ahgasese his colors as he embarks on a new journey as a solo artist alongside being an actor, a model, and an active member of the group GOT7

The teaser image and video clip were not very insightful for fans as the black-and-white image and clip hardly gave any spoilers for Youngjae's new release. In the image, Youngjae could be seen sitting on a couch with a white t-shirt and jeans as he held a pencil in his hand and looked down onto the table. The greyscale image did not say much but fans could notice the color of Youngjae's hair.

Youngjae releases his first concept photo

From the black-and-white teaser image, it was obvious that Youngjae had bleached his hair but fans were intrigued to find out what look had he dawned for his upcoming solo release. Youngjae was also seen with Yugyeom and Bambam as the maknae line of GOT7 reunited as they met up and posted a picture on Instagram which was again, in greyscale.

All this secrecy got fans restless as they kept speculating Youngjae's new look. On September 23, all this secrecy was put to an end. Youngjae posted the first teaser of his album where he released a colorful photo for his album, 'Colors from Ars.' In the teaser, Youngjae is seen wearing a blue and beige patterned sweater vest and a Dior beret cap.

Youngjae ash-pink hair supremacy 

The teaser was released on September 23 at 12 am KST (September 21 at 11 am ET) and fans around the world swooned at Yuongjae's colored hair. The reason for such a secretive promotion was that Youngjae has not only bleached his hair for the first time in a long time, he had also colored his hair a mix of ash pink and deep blue highlights.

A moving teaser video shows Youngjae covering his face with his hand as the video zooms into his face and Younjae suddenly looked into the camera. Other than that, Youngjae also posted the teaser for his album on his new YouTube channel and made his Twitter debut ahead of his solo release. Youngjae's first mini-album 'Colors from Ars' will be released on all leading music platforms at 6 pm KST (5 am ET) on October 5.

Album preview and video call events

Youngjae also posted the album preview for 'Colors from Ars' where it was reported that the album will release in two versions, A and B. The album will contain one photobook each for each of the versions, one CD, two photo cards, one film photo card, two stickers and one ID photo and holder.

Ahead of the release of his album, Youngjae also announced a special treat for his fans from around the world. Youngjae posted an update on his Twitter handle that he will be holding a 'Video Call & Sign Event' where fans, who pre-ordered his solo album will get the chance to go on a video call with him. They will also receive a special photo card from the website or a signed photo card from Youngjae.
