LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bagging a recording contract and being coached by icons like Blake Shelton, John Legend, Camila Cabello, and Gwen Stefani, can be described as every aspiring singer's wildest dream. but thanks to 'The Voice' this scenario is no longer a wild dream.

With dreams of breaking into the music industry, 22-year-old wrestler Emani Prince stepped onto 'The Voice' stage ready to knock the socks off of the coaches' feet. The Fort Gaines resident picked the song 'All My Life' for his audition performance. Despite giving it his best shot, unfortunately, none of the coaches turned their chairs for him. Emani got emotional while expressing how badly he wants to pursue music and dubbed the audition as his "only shot" to make it happen. John and Camila immediately stopped and corrected him saying that the audition wasn't his only shot while pointing out that it was one of his shots. They reminded him that he was only 22 and that he would have several other opportunities coming his way. Gwen gave him a hug and encouraged him to not overthink during his performances and to just be present at the moment.

While the coaches felt bad for him, 'The Voice' fans were left feeling puzzled as to why none of them turned for Emani. A fan commented on the show's YouTube clip of his performance, "I expected something more lively from the way he was dressed. Good voice, decent range, some of the phrases were kinda clipped. He did pretty good. Why no turns?" "I don’t know what happened, he sang that song really well and he’s got a great voice!" wrote another fan. "I'm actually shocked..He had a nice range. Nice tone, not perfect but ....Huge potential..better than many who got turns.. what's going on this year?" seconded a fan. "Why didn’t nobody turn?" wondered a fan. "C'mon they should have turned," declared a fan.

Some fans felt that Emani deserved another chance as his nerves may have gotten in the way of his performance. A fan shared, "His voice was shaky in the runs/vibrato, and it went flat in those moments. But he's got great potential." "I want to hug him he just had nerves, but they turn for others much more shaky," observed a fan. "Too many flat notes in there but that was probably nerves," echoed a fan.

'The Voice' Season 22 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC, and is available for streaming on Peacock.
