LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The first beach drama, 'Baywatch', which aired on NBC, had a distinct fan base. The legendary television program debuted in 1989 and ran for 11 years with 13 seasons. The television show, which was produced by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J Bonann, focused on a team of lifeguards who guarded the beaches in LA County. In subsequent seasons, the action was set in Hawaii.
The series is well-known for its slow-motion running scenes and emphasis on a drama set on beaches. A cultural phenomenon, it also attracted enormous popularity and helped cast members like David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, establish their careers. Throughout the years, the original drama had many spin-offs like 'Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding' which aired on Fox in 2003. In 2017, Zac-Efron, Dwayne Johnson, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas starred in the 'Baywatch' movie. Now the latest reports state a reboot of the series is in talks after 22 years. Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson played CJ Parker, one of the longest-running characters on 'Baywatch'. In addition to a 22-year career with Playboy Magazine and induction onto Canada's Walk of Fame, Anderson has been a fervent supporter of PETA. In 2022, Anderson's relationship with her ex-husband, Tommy Lee, was depicted in the eight-part Hulu drama 'Pam & Tommy,' which was reportedly produced without her consent. To share her narrative in her own words, she published her documentary on Netflix under the title 'Pamela, a love story' (2023). She elaborates on her memories of her extremely public past in her 2023 memoir, 'Love, Pamela.'
Stacy Kamano
Stacy Kamano is known for her role as Kekoa Tanaka in the '90s show. A beauty pageant-winning model and actress, she was born and grew up in Honolulu. Soon after, Stacy was selected to model for posters, calendars, and catalogs and her reputation began to spread. She has done numerous fashion shows and most recently modeled for international designers Versace, Armani, and Ferragamo, among others. Stacy began acting in commercials and later guest-starred on 'Fantasy Island,' 'Marker' and 'Beverly Hills 90210.'
Yasmine Bleeth
Yasmine Bleeth joined 'Baywatch' in 1993 as Caroline Holden. She was named one of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World every year from 1996 to 2001. 'Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding,' a TV movie, served as her final acting role. She was fired from 'Baywtach' for difficulties with her reported drug use, as per New York Post. She was arrested for drug possession and went to rehab, where she met her now-husband. Bleeth has stayed out of the spotlight for nearly two decades now, although it appears she will soon make a big-screen comeback in the upcoming horror flick, 'Beautiful Evil.'
Carmen Electra
Carmen Electra slipped into that red bathing suit as Lani McKenzie for 22 episodes. She acted in a variety of movies after her stay at the beach, including 'Starsky & Hutch' (2004), 'Cheaper by the Dozen 2' (2005), 'Scary Movie 4' (2006), and 'Disaster Movie' (2008). Electra has consistently demonstrated that she is a prominent figure on Instagram. She has continued to act, popping up in single episodes on series like 'Suburgatory,' 'Franklin & Bash,' and 'Jane the Virgin.'
Erika Eleniak
Erika Eleniak, then 19, made an appearance in a Playboy magazine, but she continued modeling right away and used that exposure to make the switch to television. She played Shauni McClain in 'Baywatch'. She played the role for the first two seasons of the show and left at the beginning of season three. Eleniak still acts wherever she can on television and in movies. She will also play the role of Marylin Monroe in the upcoming feature 'Marilyn Monroe Back?' She currently lives in Calgary with Roch Daigle, her partner, and the father of her daughter Indyanna.
Nicole Eggert
Nicole Eggert starred as Summer Quinn during Seasons 3 and 4 of the series. She returned for 'Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding' the show's 2003 spin-off. Since then, she has popped up on shows such as 'Married…with Children,' 'Boy Meets World', 'The Outer Limits', 'Gilmore Girls', and 'Robot Chicken'. In 2018, Eggert made headlines for alleging that former 'Charles in Charge' costar Scott Baio had sexually assaulted her, a superNBC News. Eggert shared in 2014 that she had started a new business venture as an ice cream truck owner. She has two daughters, Dilyn Elizabeth, and Keegan.
Alexandra Paul
A few years after launching her modeling career and scoring a leading role in John Carpenter's 'Christine' (1983), Paul starred as lifeguard Stephanie Holden on 'Baywatch'. Paul received a United Nations honor for her contribution to overpopulation awareness. In 2020, Paul acted in 'Escaping My Stalker'. In 2022, she appeared in 'Tethered' and 'Another Coffeehouse Chronicles Movie'.
Donna D'Errico
D'Errico played Donna for two seasons from 1996 to 1998 on 'Baywatch'. D'Errico shot a documentary in 2012 about achieving her lifetime goal of ascending Mount Ararat in Turkey to look for the frozen remains of Noah's Ark. The mother of two and fervent Catholic appeared in a guest role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine in 2019.
Gena Lee Nolin
In 1994, Nolin made her acting debut as a model in 'The Price is Right'. The following year, she landed the role of resident bad girl Neely Capshaw on 'Baywatch', where she remained for three seasons. Nolin was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and now campaigns for regular thyroid checks. She published a book in 2013 called 'Beautiful Inside and Out: Conquering Thyroid Disease with a Healthy, Happy, 'Thyroid Sexy Life.' She is still married to her third husband, former ice hockey player, Cale Hulse, who she met on a blind date.
Brooke Burns
Brooke Burns played the role of Jesse Owens, who started as a cleaner and officially turned into a lifeguard in the ninth season of 'Baywatch'. Burns didn't stay away for too long and came back to do 46 episodes of the spinoff show 'Baywatch: Hawaii'. She starred in 'North Shore', a prime-time soap opera, and appeared on 'Melrose Place', 'Community', and 'CSI: Miami'.
Brande Roderick
Brande Roderick joined 'Baywatch' as Leigh Dryer and appeared in Playboy Magazine for the first time. Her 'Baywatch' stint was only for the final season, but fans liked her a lot, so she came back for 'Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding,' the spinoff movie. She was part of the 'Celebrity Apprentice,' and the 'Aces & Angels Super Bowl XLVI Party.' In 2017, Roderick and former NFL linebacker Glenn Cadrez were divorced. Together, the two have a child.
Krista Allen
Krista Allen was cast on 'Baywatch' as Jenna Avid in 2000. Allen worked on the show set for a year. Since then she has been a part of numerous other productions. She has appeared in 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,' 'Smallville', 'Friends,' and 'Charmed'. Allen continued to develop her acting career with various parts. Dr Adams, who appeared in the crime drama 'Psychos & Socios,' is the most recent.
Traci Bingham
Bingham was the first BLACK woman to appear as a regular on 'Baywatch' as Jordan Tate. She appeared in several hit shows like 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,' 'Beverly Hills, 90210,' and 'Married…with Children'. She participated in shows like 'The Surreal Life" and 'Celebrity Big Brother,' where she shared the spotlight with other celebrities who lost some of their Hollywood glow. Bingham's latest TV appearances were also on reality shows 'Hell’s Kitchen' and 'Battle of the Network Stars'.
