LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After getting to know about the 'Frasier' reboot show, all we did was pray that the production brings old cast members as a tribute to the original show. It might be a manifestation because our wish has come true. 'Frasier' reboot show has been taken in by Paramount+ and is going to bring back some old cast members. The drawback of this great news is the members will only be featured for some time and not ground a foundation in the reboot.

The decided cast as the series regulars would be, Kelsey Grammer as Frasier; Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy, Frasier's son; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Frasier's former college classmate; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia. Let's get into the deep ends and understand who will be joining the cast from the OG 'Frasier' show.

'He's going back to Boston'

Kelsey Grammer is stepping back into the shoes of Frasier Crane in Paramount+'s upcoming 'Frasier' revival. While the show won't bring back everyone as a solid character, it would definitely feature some essential members. In a recent interview, Grammer talked about the revival show and said, "There's a nod to certainly my father in the show, John Mahoney, there," Grammer acknowledged. "You'll see things about John all through the show. I think people will be very happy to see that he's honored in the way he is in the show" according to People. Mahoney died in 2018 at the age of 77. He appeared in all 263 episodes of 'Frasier'.

A tribute to John Mahoney

The reboot series will be paying tribute to the iconic character and actor, John Mahoney, who played Martin Crane, Frasier Crane's father. Except for him, all the other characters will be seen passing by throughout the series and not developing into permanent characters on the show. Niles and Daphne, played by David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves particularly, are going to be featured in the show, but Niles won't be played by Pierce, as he isn't "interested in repeating" the role, hence it would be a task to find someone to replace the iconic character- Niles.

Although, the fictional couple will be featured along with their TV son David, who will be all grown-up now.  As Peri Gilpin, who played "Roz" in 'Frasier' would be an ideal character for a guest appearance, but it still won't be enough considering how great the on-screen relationship between Roz and Martin was. Considering, Martin won't be in the show, the production should surely have a storyline, where they show what happened to Martin and Ronee Lawrence after they are married, and how Roz is doing in real life, with a believable plot.

It is truly quite sad that the characters aren't permanently coming back and would be there for less amount of time. Although it is quite disappointing, we're still happy that they're bringing some, if not all back. Considering how great the chemistry of the cast was with each other and how greatly they portrayed their character, it makes us wonder if that spark would continue to fly in the reboot series as well. As we wait for the official date for 'Frasier' reboot's release, we hope it sure brings with itself a serious case of the funny bone.
