LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sitcoms tend to hold us captive for their great portrayal of real problems and give us the best of cinema that they have to offer, from the iconic Central Perk -  a coffeehouse in New York on NBC sitcom 'Friends' to Seinfeld's legendary Tom's Restaurant. Places in sitcoms that becomes a symbol of comfort throughout the years turn into a fan favorite for a number of reasons. One of them is the bar from the NBC sitcom 'Cheers', which holds a special place in the hearts of its fans who have been invested in the show and its spin-off 'Frasier' for long long years.

The Cheers bar is not only a bar where friends came to hang out, but a sacred union of people from different walks of life gathering to discuss their problems, and share their experiences while working and drinking at the bar. So, when the reboot of the 'Cheers' spin-off 'Frasier' was announced, it was a no-brainer that it must take psychiatrist, Dr Frasier Crane, back to where it all started.

Frasier Crane, played by Kelsey Grammer got so successful as a character, that he got his own spin-off show 'Frasier', which told his story after he moves back to his hometown of Seattle, where he lives with his father, and works as a radio psychiatrist. Now, with the reboot of the show, Frasier is rumored to be back in Boston, from where his spin-off really started.

When the news of 'Frasier' getting a reboot came out, it was quite confusing after the last episode literally showed Crane moving to Chicago. But recently, it was confirmed that Crane would be coming to Boston for the reboot. Boston is the start of it all, it is the place where 'Cheers' took place, where the bar is, and where Crane's roots are. As 'Frasier's reboot isn't bringing back old cast members, it might as well be returning Crane to the 'Cheers' locale to accomplish the task of making its audience happy.

Why is the iconic bar from 'Cheers' important?

The entire show stood on the foundation of that one bar, where every individual had their own story, experiences, and charm. While the production is bringing back 'Frasier', they are bringing back the memories of 'Cheers' too. 'Cheers' aired first in 1982, which means there are many people waiting to reminisce about their favorite show and take a walk down memory lane. And it would only be possible if the reboot series show some connection to the place and give more than a shoutout to the 'Cheers' show and the cast that created Frasier Crane would bring everything full circle.
