NEW JERSEY, BOSTON: HGTV has built a solid reputation for delivering highly rated shows that feature married couples with a knack for design, and who are raising growing families. The network's latest addition to this roster of stars is none other than the talented couple, Denese and Mike Butler. The duo is based in Boston, where they are raising their three young children while working their magic to transform homes in the area. Mike comes from a family with a rich history in the construction industry.

Denese, on the other hand, is the founder of the highly acclaimed interior design studio, My Perfect Vignette. The duo has joined forces to create a new series called 'Fix My Frankenhouse,' which was recently announced by HGTV and is set to air on April 23, 2023. The show promises to breathe new life into homes that have been poorly updated in the past with "odd additions and piecemeal redesigns."

Mike has explained that over time, homeowners may make changes to their homes that can turn them into a "frankenhouse," which is a term coined to describe homes that are made up of different parts that don't blend well together. To tackle this issue, the Butlers are on a mission to help homeowners restore and redesign their homes to make them more cohesive and visually appealing.

The Butlers have been filming for 'Fix My Frankenhouse' for over a year, working closely with High Noon Entertainment, the production company behind HGTV's popular shows like 'Fixer Upper' with Chip and Joanna Gaines, and 'Good Bones' with Mina Starsiak Hawk. The couple was discovered by HGTV on Instagram, as Denese shared in a post last year. She mentioned that multiple production companies had reached out to her about doing a TV show in 2019, but they finally decided to work with a company that shared their vision and goals.

The development of the show took three years of meticulous planning, as the couple aimed to create a show that would inspire and transform homes while showcasing their unique talents and design aesthetics. With their unique blend of talent and expertise, the Butlers are poised to make their mark on HGTV and become a household name in the world of home renovation and design. Let's take a closer look at them.
