'Fatal Fixer Upper' Ending Explained: A love so dangerous, it threatens everything
CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES: Lifetime's 'Fatal Fixer Upper' offers a terrifying take on home renovation, transforming a young couple's desirable home into a nightmare.
The thriller film, which is helmed by David DeCoteau, is written by Adam Rockoff, Jeffrey Schenck, and Peter Sullivan.
The movie's plot is a modern take on the classic love triangle trope: Vivian (Jasmine Aivaliotis) and Ryan Williams (Philip McElroy), a young couple, move to their dream home, but they also accept an unexpected offer from the previous owner, Josh (Duke Van Patten), who wants to help with repairs.
Nevertheless, the pair continues living their lives without realising the owner's sinister intentions until odd things begin to occur.
Ryan becomes sceptical as he witnesses strange things about Josh's obsession with the house and Vivan throughout the film.

When Ray becomes concerned about Josh's creepy conduct, he turns to his cousin Casey, a private detective (Randy Jay Burrell).
Conversely, when Josh talks to his psychiatrist, Dr. Shaw (Diane Robin), about how much he loves Vivian, she finds out that Josh is delusional and has one-sided affection for her.
She tells him to stop because she is already married and chooses to give him more medication.
Josh, realizing that if Ray survived, he would never be able to marry Vivian, crashes his vehicle into Rayn, leaving him injured.
Ray tells Casey to look into Josh again in the hospital since he's a serious threat to them.
Back at home, Josh finally comes clean about his feelings toward Vivian; however, she vehemently rejects him and asks him to leave.
Vivian Williams discovers the shocking truth about Josh
The following scene shows Josh telling Dr. Shaw that he is feeling better despite not taking his medicine. Dr. Shaw responds by saying that Josh is delusional and that the adverse effects of not taking his medication are what is causing him to feel better.
Josh, unfazed, brutally murders the doctor, confirming that his obsession has reached its peak.
Detective Carla Jones (Rachel Wong) approaches Ryan and Vivian in the meantime to notify them about Casey's untimely demise. Knowing that Ryan killed his cousin, Ryan confides in Vivian.
At first, Vivian rejects the hypothesis, but eventually, she changes her mind and agrees with Ryan that there is definitely something strange going on with Josh and before going to the police, the two resolved to acquire concrete evidence.
When the couple breaks into Josh's address, they discover the corpse of Sandy (Eliza Roberts) and later both confess to the police about Josh, while Ryan is horrified to learn that the creepy man has confessed his feelings to Vivian.
Later, when Vivian runs across Josh's ex-fiance Michelle (Savoy Bailey), she learns that Josh suffers from the OLD or obsessive-love disorder and that she fled the guy because of his possessiveness.

Having learned the horrible truth about Josh, Vivian comes home to notice something off.
After checking the second floor, she finds the secret room where Josh used to spy on her. She flees the room out of fear, but, surprisingly, Josh kidnaps her and ties her up.
Ryan senses that something is up with Vivian and quickly heads back home. While all of this is going on, Josh is getting ready to kill Vivian, who makes it obvious that she has no feelings for him.
But, when Josh hears Ryan screaming for Vivian, he becomes aware of this and walks outside to settle his score with Ryan.
He points his gun at Ryan in the hallway, but in an unexpected turn of events, Josh is shot and killed by Casey's widow, Eliza Jean (Brittany Carel).
Finally, Vivian, Ryan, and Eliza are seen talking about Josh, and the movie ends.
