For the guests who show up on 'Fantasy Island', it's often about learning the difference between what you want and what you need. And, as Elena points out, the difference can be pretty glaring. However, there is only so much the island can do -- after a point, it's for the guests to confront their issues.

So far, the series has seen some peculiar situations -- from Ruby's case to Zev and Daphne's body swap and Christine's battle with body dysmorphia. And looks like Elena and the island continue to work their magic. This week, Elena meets with Alma, a young woman who shows up on the island with a specific wish as always -- she wants to get away from her family. Her mother seems to stifle her and not let her be her true self and pursue her passion, which is music. Tired of the constant criticism, Alma wants more from life and experience all that it has to offer on her own without being weighed down by her family.

Elena presents her with quite the fantasy -- Alma finds herself transported to 1967 Cuba. She is thrilled, seeing that the 60s, in her opinion, had some of the best music, and she couldn't wait to immerse herself into it. However, in a turn of events, her paths cross with her grandparents, who were younger back then. Alma sees her chance -- her grandfather was a celebrated drum player and she is adamant about learning music from him. However, he was incarcerated in Cuba and she never got to meet him in real life, seeing that her grandmother moved to the USA when she was pregnant with her mother.

As Alma spends more time with her grandparents, she realizes that they are involved in smuggling activities, hoping to give their unborn child a better future in America, seeing that they plan to leave Cuba behind. Although Alma said that she wants to get away from her family, she seems to get more involved in the situation, even helping her grandmother ultimately escape to America. Before her fantasy ends, she meets with her grandfather in the jail and honest conversation with him.

He reminds her that no matter how overbearing the family is, they are everything. And, if they don't support her career, all she needs to do is play for them from the heart. Alma returns from a fantasy with a whole heart and is determined to follow her passion. Elena even invites her mother and grandmother to the island -- and upon seeing Alma perform, they can't help but acknowledge that this is truly what makes her happy.
