The upcoming Fox reboot of the classic 'Baywatch' just added another jewel to its crown! 'Dancing With The Stars' alum Brooks Nader, who is also known for 'Love Thy Nader', has officially joined the cast of the 'Baywatch' reboot show. The former Sports Illustrated model is the latest addition to an ensemble cast that is led by Stephen Amell. The reboot is scheduled to commence filming sometime in Spring this year, with its arrival on the network speculated to be in the 2026-2027 broadcast season, according to a report by Variety magazine.

Amell has been roped in to portray the lead character, Hobie Buchannon, who will be seen as the Baywatch Captain in the reboot, and has grown out of his 'wild child' persona from the original show. On the other hand, Nader will be seen in a series regular role as Selene, a sharp-tongued captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards. Alongside Amell and Nader, the rest of the cast includes Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Jessica Belkin, and David Chokachi, who will reprise his character of Cody Madison.

The official character description for Selene further reads, "While she is excellent at her job, she and Baywatch Captain Hobie Buchannon have a very different approach to saving lives that is a constant source of friction. Never on good terms, their relationship only goes downhill after Hobie brings his daughter, Charlie, onto his team… and it becomes clear that their rivalry goes much deeper than lifeguarding."

The filming locations for the upcoming 'Baywatch' reboot include Venice Beach and the Fox Studios facility in Century City, Los Angeles. The production has received a major nod from the State of California after the latter advanced a $21.1 million tax credit. The reboot was initially picked up by the network back in September 2025 and received a 12-episode order. This was soon followed by a mammoth open-air casting call for the reboot show, organized by Fox, held on February 18, where approximately 2,000 wannabe lifeguards showed up for auditions.

The original 'Baywatch' debuted in 1989 on NBC, then moved to syndication after its first season's success. Throughout its 11 seasons, 'Baywatch' aired 250 episodes and, at one point, was the most-watched television show worldwide. The show aired simultaneously in over two hundred countries. The original cast included David Hasselhoff as the leading character, head lifeguard Mitch Buchannon. The final two seasons were renamed 'Baywatch: Hawaii' after the show moved its base of operations away from California. A reunion TV movie was released in 2003, followed by a short-lived spinoff, 'Baywatch Nights.'
