Who is Eureka? Here's why the 'RPDR' queen de-transitioned
If there is a queen on 'RuPaul's Drag Race' who knows her way around the 'Werk Room', it's Eureka! Eureka competed on Season 9 of 'RuPaul's Drag Race', but their journey was cut short after five episodes, due to a torn ACL on Episode 2. After rehabilitation, they made it back for the show's Season 10, and made it all the way to the top 3, along with Kameron Michaels and the season winner, Aquaria. Now, they are back once again, and this time, they're all set to take on 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' Season 6.
Season 13 saw queens Symone, Rose, Kandy Muse and Gottmik make it to the top. Now, with 'All Stars' Season 6 here, it's time to see what the past queens have in store for fans.

Who is Eureka?
David Huggard, who goes by the drag name Eureka or Eureka O'Hara, was born in Bristol, Tennessee. Their drag name is an ode to their mother's name, seeing that they sound similar -- Eureka's mother's name is Ulrike. The drag queen gets their last name from Scarlett O'Hara, the main character of 'Gone with the Wind'. Prior to their run on 'Drag Race', the queen was a part of the drag pageantry circuit. Her drag mother, Jacqueline St James, happens to be the former Miss Gay USofA at Large winner.
They identify as genderfluid and gender-neutral
Huggard previously lived as a transgender woman for five years, before de-transitioning. In a conversation with Advocate, they opened up about the same. "I broke up with... Josh was his name. He turned out to be very just vicious — a sick person, sadly. That kind of wore off on me, I think. I got very depressed, really distraught." they explained, talking about what set off the chain of events.
"I didn't know how to maintain myself, but I just got to a really dark place and I got kind of suicidal. That's when I realized, Oh my god, if you're literally thinking about hurting yourself because of your living situation or your lifestyle, maybe you need to reconsider something," they added.
"My real name is David. So in my mind, I thought, "David has never really had a real chance at adulthood really," because I transitioned shortly after turning 18, so I was like, "Maybe I need to take a step back and reconsider this person." they added.
However, the de-transition didn't come easy. "I was really locally famous for drag, but I was also known for being a really open, advocating trans person for several years, in every organization in our town so a lot of people were really disappointed. That was the hardest part," they said.
The Queen's net worth
Eureka's net worth is reportedly $1-5 million, as mentioned by Celebs Age Wiki. After their 'Drag Race' run, the queen has gone on to work on a number of projects, mainly musical ones.
They were featured in country singer Brandon Stansell's song 'For You'. They gave Zachary Quinto a makeover for Them's makeover series 'Drag Me'. Along with Adam Barta, they premiered a single and music video for 'Body Positivity', featuring Kandy Muse and 'RPDR' alums, Charlie Hides, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, as well as reality television personality Farrah Abraham. The drag queen also has two singles -- 'Stomp' and 'The Big Girl'.
'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' Season 6 premieres on Paramount+ on June 24, 2021.
