'DWTS' Season 30: Judges give Iman Shumpert score of 21, fans call it a 'robbery'

NBA Star Iman Shumpert doesn't consider himself much of a dancer but was glad Daniella Karagach could help him out of his shell

Season 30 of 'Dancing With The Stars' is here, and the celebrity lineup is all set to show the world just what they've got. Of course, most of these celebrities are not dancers but are willing to give it a go and put their hearts into it. And it looks like Iman Shumpert did just that.

Following Melanie C's cha-cha performance to 'Wannabe' by Spice Girls, was NBA basketball star Iman Shumpert dancing the Jive to 'Hey Ya!' by Outkast with his partner Daniella Karagach.

'DWTS': Mel C kick starts Season 30 by dancing the Cha Cha to 'Wannabe'

While the NBA star clearly had fun on stage and was glad that Danielle was able to help him step out of his shell, the judges came down on the duo with a bit of criticism after seeing his performance. 

Len Goodman stated that Iman's form was too loose and had poor technique, but the performance was fun. Derek Hough pointed out that Iman looked comfortable on stage. Bruno Tonioli noted that he could use some more footwork in general. Carrie Ann Inaba noted that the NBA player was stylish and smooth! He ended up with a score of 21 points and fans were not thrilled at all, seeing that they believe he deserved a much higher score. 

"Anyways, said this before and i'll say it again. iman shumpert had the best dance of the night so far . #DWTS" tweeted a fan. "They really scored both Iman AND Jemmie that low? The robbery #DWTS" added another, referring to country artist Jimmie Allan, who scored an overall of 22 points. "if I was ranking the dances that have happened, it would be as follows : Iman and Daniella Mel C and Gleb Jimmie and Emma Miz and Witney Miss Privilege and Culture Vulture" added another. "Still trying to figure out how Olivia scored higher than Iman. Something not adding up. A few of these judges are trash. #DWTS" pointed out another, seeing that Olivia Jade scored far higher than Iman. "4 dances completed. So far Iman and the Spice Girl were the best but got the most criticism from the judges. This show is not about quality of dance but who is going to generate the most ratings. Now I remember why I stopped watching this show. #DWTS" pointed out another.
