'DWTS' Janet Jackson Night: Judges label JoJo Siwa's performance 'drop dead sexy'
For JoJo Siwa, whose primary audience as a singer is younger kids, being open about her sexuality was certainly a big decision. As she explained, coming out was the scariest thing she has ever done and it turned out to be the best situation. While a lot of people have been widely supportive of her, some parents stopped their children from interacting with Siwa's work.
Even though she found herself in the bottom last week, she had faith that her fanbase would vote for her and keep her on the show. As always, Siwa and Johnson put up a stellar performance as they danced the Salsa to 'Feedback' for 'Janet Jackson Night'.

Carrie Ann Inaba pointed out how Siwa's performances have elevated the show in its own way. Len Goodman was all praises for the duo, save for a few 'gimmicks' that he was not a fan of. Derek Hough stated that he was speechless and Bruno Tonioli called it 'drop dead sexy'. Siwa bagged a near-perfect score of 39 out of 40.
When it came to the dance-off, she went up against Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy, who is Jenna Johnson's husband, as both pairs danced the Rumba to 'That’s The Way Love Goes'. With the dance being judged by Carrie Ann Inaba, Siwa bagged the two additional points, bumping up her score to 41. Seeing that she is now safe, Siwa will go on to compete in the semi-finals of the show.
Fans offered their support towards Siwa, as always. "Love what @itsjojosiwa said in her #DWTS package. It’s unfortunate that some people don’t like her because of who she loves. Nothing changed overnight. She is still Jojo. Much respect for representing #LGBT" tweeted a fan. "Watching both @sunisalee_ and @itsjojosiwa on #DWTS, these girls look so much IN THEIR ELEMENT that I just wanna cry. The love and passion they are putting into their dancing is seriously everything to me right now." added another. "@itsjojosiwa has me over here questioning my sexuality like I haven’t been alive for 33 years and happily married to my husband for 6. HOLY CANNOLI #dwts #jojo #girlcrush" said a fan.
"Listen I don’t care that she’s a professional dancer, there have been plenty of professional dancers on the show, hell Cody is also a professional dancer this season. Jojo Siwa is one of the best stars to be on this show in ever #DWTS she continues to just kill it each week." chimmed in a fan.
