While impressing the judges on 'Dancing With The Stars' is essential, impressing the fans is just as important, if not more. After all, the fans are the ones who can save you from landing in the bottom two. So far, Suni Lee has proved that she is a force to be reckoned with, however, that reputation might have taken a tune.

Despite consistently good scores, Lee has dealt with constant criticism about her lack of characterization. For 'Horror Night', she and pro Sasha Farber danced the Tango to 'Bad Habits' by Ed Sheeran, inspired by 'The Vampire Diaries'.

Len Goodman noted that it was a good performance and he enjoyed the same. Bruno Tonioli pointed out that Lee had the bite, she just needs to keep pushing herself, while Carrie Ann Inaba was glad to see Lee have fun with her performances. Derek Hough noted that there was a slip-up when it came to the steps, but it was a good performance. Although she scored 36/40, when it came to eliminations, Lee found herself in the bottom two, along with Kenya Moore.

While the judges saved Lee, fans were not particularly surprised with the outcome. "Not surprised that Suni was in the bottom two because her personality isn’t connecting with the audience!! #DWTS" tweeted a fan. "Can I be honest for a minute? I love Sasha and Suni, but everyone else came out hungry tonight! I felt like they didn’t. Their tango was beautiful but I’m ready for Sasha to spend less time spinning Suni and for him to challenge her more! #DWTS" added another. "Honestly, I’m not surprised at Suni landing in the bottom two. she hasn’t really connected to the audience and Sasha hasn’t really choreographed something that truly makes her stand out." noted a fan. "9s across the board for Suni/Sasha. I’d give 8s mad for that. Sorry! Needs more expression and performance even tho the moves were technically precise! #dwts she’s starting to get lost in the crowd…" agreed a fan.

Fans, however, also argued that Lee wasn't at fault here, but Farber was the one to blame instead as his choreographer was not pushing Lee to improve or challenging her. "I’ve been saying since the beginning that suni deserves a better partner, I knew after watching him with simone that this partnership was gonna be underwhelming. #DWTS" tweeted a fan. "Sasha really thought he had a guaranteed win this year and now Suni is in the bottom two like Gleb how do you fall flat with someone who has finalist written all over them #DWTS" tweeted a fan. "Honestly not surprised Suni was in the bottom because she is good and I definitely am a fan of her but she doesn’t wow me every week. Maybe if she had another pro and stronger choreography #dwts" added another. "But no talk about how "safe" Suni is from the judges? Sasha really needs to choreograph something that pushes her to the brink. Like Melora she dances what is given but unlike Melora there's no real "spark" #DWTS" noted another.
