'DWTS' Semifinals: Amanda Kloots' tribute to husband Nick Cordero makes fans cry

Amanda Kloots gave her all for her late husband as she mesmerized everyone with her raw, emotional performance on 'Dancing With The Stars'

This Monday, November 15, marked the semifinals of 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 30 and boy, was it spectacular! The threat of elimination paired with the intention to make it to the finals had all six contestants fight it out on the dance floor.

Amanda Kloot's Janet Jackson Night was incredibly successful and saw her bag a perfect score plus two bonus points alongside partner Alan Bersten. Kloots might have had a dance background which puts her in even more of a tricky situation as much is expected from her. For the semifinals redemption round where she had to perform a style which she struggled with before, she did the tango to 'Titanium' by David Guetta featuring Sia and was mentored by Judge Len Goodman. As for the regular performance, Kloots performed a contemporary to 'Live Your Life – Nick Cordero' by Lenii.

Kloots' tango was met with a shower of praise with comments like 'forget titanium, you were platinum' and earned her a high score of 39 out of 40. It's safe to say that she has properly redeemed herself.

Now while her first performance was brilliant, the second dance of the night was what had everyone stunned and in tears. Amanda Kloots, who sadly lost her husband Nick Cordero to the pandemic, dedicated her performance to him. The tribute saw her dance to his song 'Live Your Life' which has special meaning to her, in a mesmerizing display of emotions. Rehearsals showed her break down as she fondly remembered her husband and his final moments.

Coming to her performance, Judge Len said each time she brings something different, and each time it's fantastic. Judge Derek, in a touching moment, said he knows she didn't do it for them or the audience, but did it for herself. Judge Carrie Ann pointed out how halfway through the routine she disappeared into it 100% and called it transcendent. Judge Bruno said he was mesmerized and that she touched his and the nation's hearts. He added that she definitely made her husband proud. All four scored her tens for a perfect 40.

The double-elimination saw her in the bottom two alongside Suni Lee but was saved unanimously by the judges' votes. Fans can look forward to seeing her in the finale next week. Amanda Kloots' heartbreaking and beautiful performance touched fans' hearts all over with many relating to her story of loss. Here are their words for her.
