'Dude is phenomenal': Fans elated as Theo Rossi joins the cast of 'The Penguin’ series for HBO Max
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO is on a roll as it seems, be it last year's 'House of the Dragon' or this year's 'The Last of Us,' they have been expanding their content catalog like no other. Speaking of which, the upcoming new series 'The Penguin' has a new cast member added to its already unprecedented cast list. Headlining the project and portraying the titular character is Colin Farrell, along with Cristin Milioti, Michael Kelly of 'House of Cards,' 'The Expanse's Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell of 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,' and Clancy Brown. 'The Penguin' will be the first spin-off show from 'The Batman,' (Robert Pattinson starring 2022 movie) a crime drama giving us a detailed look at the mechanics of organized crime in this take on Gotham.
Matt Reeves will be executive producing the series for HBO Max, along with his production partner Dylan Clark, who also produced 'The Batman'. Apart from, 'The Penguin,' Matt Reeves is also developing a GCPD and Arkham Asylum show, along with exploring the option of developing feature-length projects based on characters from Batman's iconic rogues' gallery like Clayface and Professor Pyg, in a similar vein to Todd Philips' 'Joker'.

As per Deadline, 'Sons of Anarchy' actor Theo Rossi joins the highly anticipated television series based on 'The Batman' supervillain. Under the working title, 'The Penguin' of Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios has drawn Rossi to star in a still-undisclosed role, joining previously announced cast members, including Clancy Brown, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Cristin Milioti, with Colin Farrell.
