'The Last of Us': HBO drops EPIC new teaser for upcoming Pedro Pascal post-apocalyptic series
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: This year's end began with a highly anticipated game 'The Last of Us' being adapted into a TV series that will be coming to life on HBO. As the holidays are approaching, HBO has presented a new promo for all the upcoming series and new seasons of the existing series. Regardless, marketing of the series has exploded with new images, posters, and trailers for the series which is based on the popular PlayStation franchise of the same name. Now the latest teaser for the series showcases the explosive terror that lies ahead for fan-favorite characters Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey).
However, the latest reports claim 'Supernatural star, Jensen Ackles pushed very hard to play Pedro Pascal's character, Joel in the upcoming HBO series. The post-apocalyptic drama television series is created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. However, the series is apparently the first HBO series to be based on a video game and is a joint production by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dog, The Mighty Mint, and Word Games.

HBO's official page on Twitter recently uploaded promotional video footage of Pedro Pascal as Jolie and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, plus a tease of the game's notorious Clickers come to life.

Furthermore, the first season will consist of nine episodes written by Mazin and Druckmann. The latter also wrote and directed the game. Original game composer Gustavo Santaolalla will compose the score.
The ensemble cast for the series also includes Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Nico Parker as Sarah, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen, Storm Reid as Riley, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, Lamar Johnson as Henry, Keivonn Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon, and Elaine Miles as Florence. The original game stars Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, having played the part of Ellie and Joel in both video games, are also set to appear (although their characters in the HBO series are still unknown).
The series is set to debut on January 15, 2023.
