Disney+ series ‘Vision Quest’ in the works, fans say ‘Vision hasn’t been utilized well enough’
Marvel has been on a roll with its upcoming projects. While 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' is making headlines for many reasons, another piece of news broke out which says a new Marvel series starring Paul Bettany is apparently in development. Paul Bettany has been heard first as Jarvis then later seen as Vision in the MCU franchise. However, in the latest episode of Jeff Sneider's 'The Hot Mic' podcast, a Hollywood insider reported that a Vision Disney+ series is in development at Marvel Studios. Sources claim that the studio is about to open up a writer's room for the project, which reportedly has the working title of 'Vision Quest', according to ScreenRant.
Can it be one of the series which will list for MCU Phase 6? We cannot confirm but speaking of Phase 6, the films of the phase include 'Deadpool 3' starring Ryan Reynolds, 'Fantastic Four,' and the ensembles 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,' and lastly 'Avengers: Secret Wars.' However, that is not all, two unannounced films are set for release in 2025. Phase 6, along with Phase 4 and Phase 5, constitutes The Multiverse Saga.

The titular character of the Disney+ series was first introduced in MCU's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron.' He was a synthesized android that was created by 'Iron Man,' 'Thor,' the 'Hulk,' and Dr Helen Cho and was originally meant to be Ultron's perfect form. Upon his creation, Vision decided to help the 'Avengers' battle against Ultron during the battle of Sokovia, where the rogue android and his sentries were destroyed. The Vision then became a member of the 'Avengers', and later participated during the team's clash when 'Captain America' and his allies refused to sign the Sokovia Accords. After the clash, Vision decided to leave the 'Avengers' to begin a romantic relationship with Scarlet Witch. When Thanos sought the mind stone from Vision's head, the android was killed by the mad titan, who succeeded in wiping out half of the universe.
However, he was avenged by Scarlet Witch and his allies when the 'Avengers' defeated Thanos in 'Avengers: Endgame' in 2023 after managing to bring back the life that Thanos had wiped out. Although in 'WandaVision' the audience witnessed how Scarlet Witch had managed to recreate Vision using a piece of the Mind Stone that she has inside her along with her chaos magic and created the Hex around a town named Westview to start a family with him while keeping the civilians of the town hostage via enthrallment. There are conjectures that the series which is in development might revolve around a similar plotline.
However, after the news surfaced online fans could barely keep calm. A fan wrote, "A series about #Vision titled 'Vision Quest' is in the works." Another fan tweeted, "This good be really good or next level bad, the coin flip begins." A fan shared, "Only because I've been wanting to know where the heck White Vision has been! I am interested." "Finally! Honestly, this is still Marvel's biggest fumble. Vision hasn't been utilized well enough/explored enough. I very much enjoy his interactions and scenes with Wanda; we need more. I'm still holding hope that they're both reunited and get some time back," said a fan.
