Marvel postpones release dates of 3 major movies, fans say stop announcing films 'years' in advance
Marvel fans have lately been disappointed with the quality of their work, even though their viewership is not declining. Disney changed the release date of some movies, including Marvel's 'Blade,' a highly anticipated movie, as production is delayed.
'Blade,' which was supposed to hit theaters on November 3, 2023, has been postponed until 2024. The Marvel film stars Mahershala Ali, Delroy Lindo, and Aaron Pierre as Gene Colan in the meantime, Stacy Osei-Kuffour and Marv Wolfman are the film's screenwriters. The theatrical release date is now set for September 6, 2024. However, we cannot confirm this as dates are still subject to change. Those changes also include the yet-to-be-titled 'Deadpool' three-parter, which has been moved from Sept 6, 2024, to Nov 8, 2024, and 'Fantastic Four,' which has been moved to Feb 14, 2025. Previously set for Nov 7, 2025, 'Avengers: Secret Wars,' the first of two films in the 'Avengers' series, will now open May 5, 2026.

According to Deadline, the other titles getting release dates today from Disney contained 'Searchlight’s Chevalier on April 7, 2023, '20th’s A Haunting in Venice' on September 15, 2023, and 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' on May 24, 2024.
However, after the news surfaced online fans are extremely disappointed with the banner and started a rant fest on Twitter. "They need to stop announcing dates before they do any shooting, they always get pushed back and people get upset when they could just...not do this lol," said a fan. A fan wrote, "The way the MCU interconnects all their stories you kind of have to move all of them around if you move one of them." A fan tweeted, "They should stop announcing movies years in advance. Just say what you can realistically account for and be quiet about the rest since it’s still largely unknown. Release more teasers for stuff that’s closer to being finished. Release more interviews/behind the scenes pics," meanwhile another fan adds, "Why do @MarvelStudios even bother anymore. Just announce the films and say they will be out at some point in the next 5 years, and leave it at that." A fan writes, "Dude so nothin ppl are dying to see is coming out for the whole of next year lol. Is the MCU worried about loosing momentum, cause its been goin down since endgame."
