'Dimension: Dilemma': Enhypen become million sellers, fans dub them 'future of K-pop'

Enhypen became the fastest and youngest K-pop group to become a million seller

Rookie group Enhypen was set to break records when ‘Dimension: Dilemma’ first reached 600,000 pre-orders within six days of announcement. Then just a day left before the release, Engenes (the fandom) brought the album to 910,000 pre-orders, almost reaching a million which shocked fans and non-fans alike. The boy group debuted in November 2020 and are still in the 11th month of their journey into music. With two EPs and one studio album, everyone is impressed with the boy group.

‘Dimension: Dilemma’ happens to be Enhypen’s first studio album ever and was released on October 12, 2021. Upon its release, it topped several charts like Gaon Weekly Chart, iTunes, Japan’s Oricon and Billboard, UK’s Official Albums Chart and US Billboard’s World Albums Chart. On the first day itself, the album crossed 500k sales on Hanteo making Enhypen the only fourth-gen group to do so. It was then revealed that within a week, ‘Dimension: Dilemma’ had crossed 800,000 sales confirming that it was bound to reach a million sales soon.

Enhypen become a million sellers

Earlier, it was announced that the K-pop album had been a hit even in Japan and had sold 156k copies earning a gold certification from RIAJ. And now, on November 11, it has been reported that Enhypen has become a million-seller. ‘Dimension: Dilemma’ debuted at #2 on Gaon Monthly Chart with 1.1 million sales. They’re #3 on the Gaon Album Chart. Competing against popular groups like Seventeen and NCT 127, fans are impressed that Enhypen accomplished such achievements.

It should be noted that Enhypen is the 10th artist to cross 1 million sales with an album on Gaon. But they’re also the fastest and youngest group to reach this milestone. Following Stray Kids, they are also the only fourth-gen group on this list. Enhypen has now sold a total of 2.4 million copies since their debut which was 11 months ago. ‘Dimension: Dilemma’ is also now set to become a certified million album by Gaon in December.

'Go big or go home'

Another Engene added, “#Enhypen did not just become a million seller but a DOUBLE MILLION SELLER!! I'm so proud of these boys, congrats enhypen.” One fan commented, “Enhypen literally said "GO BIG OR GO HOME" DIMENSION DILEMMA MILLION SELLER.” Another shared, “Enhypen sold more than 2.4M album copies since their debut,a 11 month old group became the  fastest and youngest group in history to achieve million seller album Noone comes close to this future of kpop.”
