'Furious' returned with its penultimate episode, and like the previous ones, it has kept the audience on edge. In the last episode, Detective Danny Kelly (Scoot McNairy) got his hands on Jay Easton's (Peter McRobbie) awful home movies, which also featured teenage Alice Black (Emmy Rossum). Episode 7, titled 'Some Days It Don't Come Easy', reveals what Danny decides to do with those videos, as he discovers more about Alice's traumatic past, which might have something to do with her presence in the videos. Marshall's (Jake Lacy) mother reveals to him that a young Alice once escaped a group home and also lost a baby. Later in the episode, Danny meets up with Alice and takes her home.

The next day, Alice confesses her love and asks him to go with her to the beach house. Danny turns her down, and finally breaks their bubble. He reveals to her what is on those videos. Alice doesn't give him any details. The man with her was not Jay, but another old man. From her conversations with her sister Amy, it can be inferred that she is 14 years old. Danny decides not to submit the videos to the authorities. Even though the flash drive would be enough to put Jay behind bars, he does not want Alice's pain to fall into the hands of the authorities or anybody else. Danny leaves the flash drive at Alice's house. Danny later finds himself in trouble with Ed (Danny McCarthy), who is desperately searching for the flash drive. Initially, it seemed that Ed wanted the flash drive to save Jay, but a startling revelation came forth. Ed was in bed with one of the girls.

Alice gets called out by Nora (Quincy Tyler Bernstine) for letting her "boyfriend issues" get in the way of capturing Catherine Grace (Lola Petticrew), which made the authorities miss their shot at Jay. "We are indefensible in defense of humanity," Nora explained. "We become evil to fight evil." Marshall came out alive after last episode's confrontation. After recuperating, Alice goes on to catch Catherine. She recruits Nora to get to Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky). After her conversation with Catherine in the last episode, Alice understood that she is close to Elena. She believes that Elena will have a way to contact Catherine. They track Elena at a Bronx hotel and finally confront her. Alice reveals to her that she is Isabel's daughter and that Catherine was involved in her abandonment as a baby. Alice hoped that these revelations would encourage Elena to turn against Catherine. The trick worked, and she agreed to call Catherine. As soon as Elena made the call, a phone began ringing in the nearby bathroom stall.

Alice catches Catherine in the bathroom stall. But to everyone's surprise, she does not arrest Catherine. She instructs Catherine to go to Jay's house. She plans to arrest Catherine on Jay's property, which will give her cause to search and hopefully catch him red-handed. Ed calls Emma (Hope Davis) to inform her that the police are on their way to Jay's property. Jay's physical condition is horrible. Even though he requires an oxygen machine to survive, he is still seen spending time with a young girl. Jay's primary concern at that point is the remaining videos in his house. He claims to need them. Emma is furious and pushes him to the ground. To find out what happens next, tune in to the season finale next Monday, only on Hulu
