'Deadlock': 5 things to know about action-thriller starring Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is all set to compete with the likes of Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren, his 'Expendanbles' mates. The 'Die Hard' star is all set to play a revenge-driven antagonist in 'Deadlock', an action-thriller that also which co-stars Patrick Muldoon. 'Deadlock' releases the same day as 'Castle Falls', the much-awaited thriller starring Adkins and Lundgren in key roles. It's rare to see Willis be the baddie, especially when the world remembers him as one of Hollywood's bonafide action heroes for the last two decades, but the trailer shows the man is comfortable issuing threats and being one.

Quite recently, Willis was seen in 'Apex', a remake of the '94 blockbuster, 'Surviving the Game' starring Ice-T and Rutger Hauer. The movie revolves around Thomas Malone (Willis) serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. But he is given a chance to be free if he can survive a twister game. In 'Deadlock', he's the man keen on doing some head-bashing. Ahead of the release, here's five things to know about the thriller feature.

What is the plot of 'Deadlock'

The official synopsis reads, "A wanted criminal leading a team of mercenaries on a mission of vengeance. Convinced that the government is working against them, the merciless group brutally seizes an energy plant and holds everyone inside hostage. With a nearby town on the brink of massive flooding and destruction, it’s up to one retired elite army ranger Mack Karr (Muldoon) to save thousands of innocent lives before it’s too late."

Who are the stars

Willis stars as Ron Whitlock, and Muldoon plays Mack Karr. It's pretty much a two-stars helmed cast with Billy Jack Harlow in the list.

The movie is written by Jared Cohn and Cam Cannon with the former serving as the director. Danny Chan, Danny Roth, Gordon Bijelonic, Corey William Large, and Johnny Messner serve as the producers.
