Daymond John invests $500K in 'Noggin Boss' hats, fans call it 'ridiculous'

Noggin Boss founders Sean Starner and Gabe Cooper accepted Daymond's offer immediately without even considering the deals from other sharks

'Shark Tank' brings attention-grabbing ideas of entrepreneurs to the limelight and one of such entries is 'Noggin Boss', a brand that makes outsized personalized hats.

In the recent episode of Season 13 of 'Shark Tank', Noggin Boss, primarily based in Arizona, is an enterprise by long-time buddies Gabe and Sean Starner. Gabe Cooper and Sean Starner are the brand's founders and started the company in 2020. As per the brand's website, the duo is "two best friends who love all things faith, family, sports, business and charity. Sean and Gabe are former college athletes club team coaches and have a strong history of building successful companies. It took them minimal time to convince the sharks, and just after listening to their business idea, Daymond John jumped in for stealing the deal. Although other sharks were also trying to show their interest, Gabe and Sean decided to have Daymond as their partner.

Gabe and Sean wanted $500,000 for 25%. While talking about their income and sales, they explained that the brand made $330,000 just four months after starting in February 2020. However, due to the pandemic, they could not make many sales. Gabe explained that they have many contacts, but they are still not able to complete 95% of their orders because they do not have a license for making hats, and for this, they are on 'Shark Tank' for finding an investor. 

When the sharks asked about the price, they explained that the making cost is approximately $20 while the selling price for the hat is $60-65. After listening to this, Daymond John found it wise enough to invest. He immediately offered them a deal of $500,000 with 30% equity. The founders of Noggin Boss found it the best as they accepted it immediately without even considering the deals from other sharks. A fan called Noggin Boss 'fun' and tweeted,"@darcydonavan if you can definitely watch tonight's episode of Shark Tank! Think you will really like some of the products shown tonight on it! That Noggin Boss was fun and creative! Think a custom one with #CryptoQueen or #BossBabe would be a fun one for you!" Another fan said, "Just saw these hats on Shark Tank and immediately thought of Gino #90DayFiance #90dayfiancebeforethe90days." A fan tweeted, "I think #Nogginboss is the most asinine thing that has ever gained a deal on #SharkTank." Another fan tweeted,"Can’t take Noggin Boss seriously it’s ridiculous #SharkTank."
