After Jason 2 abandons Ryan Holder (Jimmi Simpson) in another reality in the final moments of Episode 6, we see trouble knocking on his door in Episode 7.

Detective Mason arrives at his home and questions him about his last meeting with Ryan. Driven by suspicion, Daniela Dessen (Jennifer Connelly) finally confronts Jason 2 about his secret storage unit and the empty ampoules. Jason 2 cleverly dodges Daniela's suspicion with a false narrative.

On the other hand, Amanda Lucas(Alice Braga) takes Jason 1 to a dreamy reality where everything seems perfect. After exploring for a while, Amanda decides to stay there and even suggests the same to Jason 1.

Adamant to return to his Daniela, he declines the proposal and goes back to the box alone. He then lands in another perfect reality where he has a great life with his wife and son. He feels overwhelmed when he realizes that his dead son, Max, is alive in this reality.

Meanwhile, amid the growing suspicion in Ryan Holder's disappearance case, Jason 2 goes to the storage unit and breaks the seal of the box. He then goes inside and brings a different Ryan after getting him massively drunk. He bathes and grooms him to make him look like Ryan 1.

Shifting the focus back to liminal space, Jason 1, despite seeing the perfect worlds, wants to return to his imperfect world and thus makes a final attempt. He finally enters his reality where the cemented seal of the box is broken and used ampoules are found on the floor.

As he goes home, he sees Jason 2 with Daniela and Charlie (Oakes Fegley). In order to reclaim his life, he goes to the market to buy a gun and ends up buying a knife and pepper spray.

Seconds later, another version of Jason arrives at the same shop, asking for a gun. The interaction with staff makes him realize that a version of Jason is out there and he goes after him.
