#dararichallenge: Treasure’s viral TikTok hit ‘Darari’ will have its own music video

All thanks to the global support of fans with #dararichallenge, Treasure is set to release a new music video for the TikTok viral hit 'Darari'

Treasure, YG Entertainment’s rookies, have been doing really well with their latest comeback from February 2022. The music video for ‘Jikjin’ (stylized as JIKJIN), the title track from the album ‘The Second Step: Chapter One’, has been doing well for the past month as the boys promoted it on multiple music shows. Fans of the group will be delighted to hear that the boy group is set to release a new music video for another song from the same album.

While some K-pop groups do release double title track albums, a case in point being Ateez’s ‘Deja Vu’ and ‘Eternal Sunshine’ from their 2021 album ‘Zero: Fever Part 3’, Treasure only recently decided to promote their song ‘Darari’ with its own music video due to its insane global popularity. The b-side track was released with the rest of the album but the single is suddenly gaining popularity on various global charts due to it becoming a viral TikTok challenge.

Treasure to release a music video for ‘Darari’

Fans of Treasure, as well as international TikTokers, have started taking on the Darari Challenge, which has now led members of the group to release an official music video for the single. On March 23, YG Entertainment, the label that manages the activities of Treasure, announced that after completing the promotion of the single ‘Jikjin’, the group is now planning a follow-up activity for ‘Darari’ (Stylized as DARARI).

The single is now set to have its own music video that will release in the next month as members of the boy group are currently working on the choreography of the song. The single rose to global popularity after a fan turned it into a challenge and it took off on TikTok. The label thanked the fans saying, “It is rare in the industry to promote a follow-up song these days, and it is all thanks to the warm support of global fans.”

'Darari's success on the charts

'Darari' has become a viral sensation due to its natural popularity with word of mouth. The song was used as a dance challenge all around the world and became the Number 1 trending song on TikTok with the hashtag #dararichallenge that exceeded 700 million views. The popularity was immediately reflected in the music charts where ‘Darari’ entered the US Billboard Global 200 and Spotify Global Top 200 charts.
