Did Chris Williams lie to get divorce? 'MAFS' star 'caught in lies' over Paige Banks and Mercedes Myrick affairs

The three of them finally sat down to discuss the issue at hand and it turns out, the conversation went nothing like Chris Williams had planned

Regardless of who you're rooting for on this season on 'Married at First Sight', it's hard to ignore the drama that's constantly going on between Chris Williams and Paige Banks. 

Williams definitely has fans rallying against him with each passing episode — with him telling Banks he's falling for her to claiming he's in love with his pregnant ex-fiancée and then saying he might be in love with Banks...again. Even Williams is having a tough time keeping up with all the lies.

However, this episode finally has some of the answers we've been waiting for, seeing that Williams has Banks and his ex-fiancée all sit down and have a conversation. Banks expresses her doubts, seeing that Williams hasn't mentioned anything about doctor checkups or pregnancy tests. The three of them finally met.

Mercedes Myrick, Williams' ex-fiance confirmed that she is seven weeks pregnant and had no idea that Williams was getting on the show. Banks made it clear that she didn't have any questions for them, but did point out that the timeline seemed odd. 

Banks did come clean that she was looking to make her marriage work and that she didn't see Williams' child having a bonus parent as a bad thing. The conversation went seemingly well until Banks dropped the ball — she briefly was worried that she might have been pregnant too.

This took Myrick by surprise, as she told producers that Williams told her that he was intimate with Banks but that this was a whole different kind of intimate. Banks posed an interesting question — what if she had gotten pregnant? Then what would have Williams done?

Williams was at a loss for words. Banks made it clear that she wasn't pregnant and that she entered this marriage with pure intentions. But it was Myrick's turn to come clean — although Williams claimed that Myrick was in love with him, Myrick said that she had no intention of getting back with him.

This raised an important question — why did Williams want a divorce? The women cleared the air and had no bad blood between them. They also established that ultimately they both didn't want to have anything to do with Williams. 

Williams claimed that Banks was attacking him and doubting his intentions. He was visibly annoyed by the situation and began to cut Banks off while she was talking. Myrick was quick to jump to Banks' defense and Williams was having none of it so he stormed off. Myrick apologized for dragging Banks into this chaos as the women hugged and made up. 

Twitter came for Williams as always and users were ecstatic to see the two gorgeous women stand up for each other and themselves. "The pregnant ex girlfriend told the wife (Paige) that she had no intention of working it out with him. Chris was caught in a lie. #MAFS" tweeted a fan. "what the hell did Chris think was coming out of a conversation that he had no part of ...Chris is seriously the biggest most ridiculous douchebag ....#MAFS" tweeted another.

"Chris really thought his friends would come up on the show and save him. Instead they read him for filth. FAIL! His last attempt was to pit two beautiful black women against each other while he sat back in enjoyment. Another FAIL! PATHETIC! #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" added a user, seeing that his friends didn't take his side either and called him out.

"I am here for Paige finally standing up to Chris. He brought Paige and his ex together thinking Paige was going to be meek and that he and his "ex" will look good on TV. Nope! Paige brought the fire. #MAFS #MAFS12 #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan.

"I’m now back to Team Paige. I’ve dogged you in the last few episodes, but I see you had some sense knocked into you - & S/O to Chris’ Ex! Black Women supporting Black Women & with class! I’m here for it ALL, ok?!! #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" agreed another. "Paige getting rid of Chris #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan summing up how we all felt.

Banks seemed relieved that the situation was finally done with and she got a chance to speak her truth without being gaslighted again.
