LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Captain America' star Chris Evans has been titled 2022's Sexiest Man Alive. Although he is busy shooting for 'Red One' with the 'Black Adam' superstar Dwayne Johnson for Amazon. Johnson's 'Black Adam' is still tearing up the box office as it just coasted to its third straight weekend atop the ladder. After he brought the fans, Henry Cavill, as 'Superman' in DCEU, now he will be seen starring beside the former Marvel star. Perhaps it may be a winning strategy for Amazon to showcase two Sexiest Man Alive candidates in one movie.

Speaking of the two candidates, Johnson was seen cracking a deal with Evans at 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', where they both decided they would share the title. At the show, 2016's Sexiest Man Alive, Johnson, was seen congratulating the recent one on the sets of their new movie. Evans and Johnson were seen getting into confusion soon enough as Evans thought the title was passed on to him but soon Johnson cleared that up by saying, "I'm the Sexiest Man Alive in perpetuity and so are you from hereon," thus they concluded they will be sharing it. Johnson can be heard saying “You bet your sexy mouth, I am. We are sharing.” Evans seems to be more than thrilled to share the title with his co-star and asked the audience to "go vote," when Johnson asked him to "say something sexy."

"Our Seven Bucks is very bullish on our partnership with Amazon Studios; underpinned with some innovation, some pioneering, and a lot of positive energy and passion. I've been very impressed with Jen Salke and her team's vision and ambition to create an enormous, fun, and unique 'Red One' holiday universe for families around the world to enjoy," said Johnson when the movie was announced.

'Red One' is an upcoming action-adventure Christmas film, directed by Jake Kasdan, with a script written by Chris Morgan, from an original story by Hiram Garcia. Johnson and Evans will star with an ensemble casting including Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, JK Simmons, Nick Kroll, and Kristofer Hivju. However, Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, Kasdan, Melvin Mar, and Morgan will also serve as producers of the film.

The project is seen as the first of a potential franchise, reimagining holiday mythology. The project will be a joint-venture production between Seven Bucks Productions, Amazon Studios, Amazon Prime Original Films, The Detective Agency, and Chris Morgan Productions. Apparently, the movie is scheduled to be released exclusively through streaming via Amazon Prime Video during the holiday season of 2023.
