Spoilers for 'Chicago PD' Season 8

Let's start off with the bad news - reportedly due to scheduling and the Covid-19 pandemic, 'Chicago PD' will not be airing this week. While that is upsetting to fans, it does seem like the NBC drama will come back with a bang in an episode that is all about Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger). As per the synopsis, his father goes missing, and the team wastes no time in making sure they get him back safe and sound. Since NBC wants to end this season in May, the small hiatus was expected but read on to find out when the drama returns.

When will 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 10 air?

According to Futon Critic, 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 10 titled 'The Radical Truth' will air on March 31, 2021, at 10 pm EST on NBC.

What will 'The Radical Truth' be about?

The official synopsis reads, "Ruzek's father, Bob, goes missing, and the team races to find him before it's too late." But we don't know the exact back story for how Ruzek’s father goes missing since no promo trailers for the episode have been released yet. Has he wandered off? Did someone kidnap him? Either way, it seems that Ruzek is in good hands considering he has a capable PD team to help him out.

Even though fans don't know much about Ruzek's life as a child, we do know that there were some bad, traumatic bits. We wonder if this episode will, hopefully, give us a little more about the character's past, as they focus on his storyline with his father in the present.

So far, we are seeing a very sweet plot unfold -- that of Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Ruzek fostering a little girl. This narrative is laced with emotion because it happened after Burgess and Ruzek lost the baby they were expecting. Ruzek's character as a parental figure is a refreshing character arc and we're definitely looking forward to it.

In fact, this might be the character arc we were waiting for and Ruzek's history with his father will most probably play into it.

'Chicago PD' airs on Wednesday at 10/9c on NBC.
