When will 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 10 air? Adam Ruzek and team race against time to save his father
This week's episode of 'Chicago PD' may have felt like a filler episode, especially after the previous episode which dealt with Black Lives Matter and police brutality against Black people in a remarkable way. However, this week, we are back to the run-of-the-mill murder case, with Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) once again taking the lead.
As we move closer to the end of the current season, viewers would be interested to know where 'Chicago PD' is heading in terms of long-term plotlines. So far, the most significant ones are that Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) are officially dating, and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is now fostering a little girl after she and Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) lost the baby they were expecting.

What happened previously?
This week's episode of 'Chicago PD' dealt with a restaurant owner's murder. However, the owner was someone Atwater knew, and so, it is personal for him. As is usual on 'Chicago PD' these days, the murder case also involves gangs and dealers.
However, what stands out in the episode is that Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) is asked for help Andre Cooper, a Black police officer who has been ostracized by his fellow officers — his White colleagues for ratting on his partner, and his Black colleagues for not doing enough for the Black victim. It is Samantha Miller (Nicole Ari Parker) who approaches Voight and their growing relationship so far seems to go smoothly. This is good news for 'Chicago PD' as fans might know that Voight and Deputy Superindentents do not often gel well, and it is often the latter that are replaced every season.
Nevertheless, Miller's presence on 'Chicago PD' is interesting, though she is not used as effectively as she could be. Miller could be the right vehicle the show needs to show that it is committed to portraying racial issues appropriately, but as long as she is portrayed as a friendly foe to Voight, that cannot happen.
When will Episode 10 air?
'Chicago PD' is going on a short break after the ninth episode and will return with the tenth episode of Season 8 to NBC on Wednesday, March 31, at 10/9c.
What to expect from Episode 10?
The synopsis for 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 10 states, "Ruzek’s father, Bob, goes missing and the team races to find him before it’s too late."
We have not had a storyline about Ruzek's personal life outside of his relationship with Burgess, and we have not seen his father mentioned in a while. The next episode could be a deep dive into Ruzek, one that has been long overdue and may change things for him.
