Who is Sarita Willaims? Her friendship with Cheryl Hines goes back two decades

Williams and Hines' friendship goes back over 20 years when they first met because of a job opportunity. At the time, the ‘Suburgatory’ actress was looking for a personal assistant, and someone in her contacts recommended Williams. Talking about their first meeting, the Hollywood A-lister stated in the clip, “I was working on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, and I needed an assistant. Somebody said why don’t you meet Sarita, she actually happens to be from Tallahassee, where you are from.” Hines added that she ended up hiring her and that was the start of a two-decade-long friendship. The pair's bond strengthened even further after Hines found out she was pregnant a year later, and Sarita's job changed from assistant to nanny.

Hines added, “I found out I was pregnant,” and continued, “I looked at her, and I said, ‘What do you know about babies?’ She said, ‘Nothing’ and I said, ‘Neither do I...maybe, do you want to try it together?” Williams then took care of Cheryl’s daughter, Catherine. In her own words, Williams mentioned that Catherine “means the world to her.” She says, “She was my best friend.” The pair apparently had grown quite inseparable from one another. “As a parent, the only thing that matters really is that you’re raising your child to be the best person they can be, and Sarita knows that, and she knew that then,” said Hines. She further added, “She taught Cat (Catherine) so much.”

According to her LinkedIn profile, Williams works as an Operations Manager for Soapbox Films. As of now, Williams and her husband, Andrew, work remotely from home, which is why Hines wants to gift the pair a fabulous renovation. As per the description for the episode, the multifaceted celebrity will renovate her good friend’s garage “into a gorgeous multi-function personal retreat and guest suite complete with a kitchenette, bathroom, built-in desk, and Murphy bed.”
