'Celebrity Big Brother' fans praise CBS for airing Lamar Odom and Mirai Nagasu's talk on racism
Amid all the plotting and scheming on 'Celebrity Big Brother' Season 3, house guests Lamar Odom and Mirai Nagasu left fans feeling emotional when they began discussing racism in America. What started off as a casual conversation about their favorite sports team, quickly turned into a deep and heartfelt conversation on how racism is still very much prevalent in the country and that ignoring it doesn't make it any better.
Lamar kicked off the conversation by stating one of the most powerful lines about racism, that struck a chord with many fans. He pointed out how America was founded on racism and wished that the Blacks and minorities weren't subject to the many crimes and atrocities committed against them. He hoped for society to reach a point where everybody could look past a person's skin color. Mirai weighed in by pointing out that she was extremely proud to be American and considered it an honor to represent her country in the Olympics, but wished that America represented them as well.
