While fans have been loving the award show performances and concerts that have been taking place since 2021, it has been a while since we got a full-fledged BTS comeback. In November 2020, the group released their fifth K-pop album, ‘Be’, with the lead single ‘Life Goes On’. Following the release, in 2021 and early 2022, we got the hit English singles ‘Butter’ and ‘Permission to Dance’. This was followed by a webtoon and their ‘Permission To Dance On Stage’ concerts in LA, Seoul and Las Vegas. BTS was also invited to perform at the likes of the AMAs and the Grammys.

BTS even got a chance to go on a much-deserved vacation in late 2021 after which their label, Big Hit, shared that they would return with more concerts and new music. Leader RM had also hinted at a world tour in 2022. Well, at the last concert of BTS’ Vegas series held on April 16, they finally dropped more details about their comeback. Before the concert ended, on the screen we got the words ‘We Are Bulletproof’ and the date June 10.

BTS and RM confirm new albums

Following the concert, Big Hit confirmed that BTS was indeed working on their next album and that June 10 would be the date of their comeback. In English, BTS stands for ‘Bulletproof Boy Scouts’ and so the phrase ‘We Are Bulletproof’ could either be the name of their album or, as many suggest, it could be the concept of the comeback. The album feels extra special as it is also getting released close to BTS’ 9th-debut anniversary which will be on June 13.

In fact, on April 18, it was reported that BTS will be leaving for South Korea and arrive on April 19. However, RM will be the only one who will be returning later as he still has a schedule in USA. On VLive that took place last week, RM had shared a bit about his third solo mixtape. He said, “About the new playlist, I’m getting ready and I’m working on it. I’m inviting really interesting and unexpected people to my album.” With the BTS leader staying back in the US, fans are sure that it is because he is working on the collaborations for his solo mixtape album.

‘The kings are back’

Excited ARMY are sharing tweets like, “THE WAIT IS OVER IT'S CONFIRMED BTS COMEBACK IS COMING THE KINGS ARE BACK.” Another posted, “THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA.” One fan joked, “Aurrr not us having the month of june to ourselves, like exactly bts cb and festa happening so non bts' and non army CLEAR the area…” Another shared, “RM3 AND AN ALBUM THIS YEAR WE ARE BEING FED THE BEST OF FEASTS.”

One ARMY commented, “Ya know what’s scaring me it’s that joon NEVER disappoints with his music, in production and lyricism, he’s always on f**king point and he sounds so excited about RM3 so i just f**king know it’s gonna be so f**king sick.” Another fan was sure he was still in USA for the album, “The ‘unexpected collabs’ on RM3.” One ARMY added, “Rm3 will change my life for the better i know that.”
