BTS Jin gifts J-Hope $285 gold toilet brush day before his 29th birthday

On the occassion of J-Hope's 29th birthday, Jin gifted him a $285 limited edition golden toilet brush making fans laugh

Jin (Kim Seokjin) became the first member of BTS to wish J-Hope (Jung Hoseok, Hobi) on his 29th birthday with a joke gift that is both homely and expensive — a gold toilet brush. Jin, who is the oldest member of the group, had a point to prove as the 'dad joke' king of BTS. Hopefully, Hobi's birthday present will be the golden lining to all future stomach upsets. On the eve of his birthday, J-Hope posted a series of Instagram stories showing his love for his ‘Jin Hyung’ (brother) who sent the rapper early birthday presents even though BTS is on a break at the moment.

J-Hope celebrates his 29th birthday on February 18 according to the Korean system and the gold toilet brush is part of a series of appreciative gifts sent by Jin, the worldwide handsome member of BTS in advance. While the actual toilet brush may not actually be made from 100% real gold, the reaction J-Hope had after receiving it is pure gold.

Jin’s gift of a  $285 golden toilet brush to J-Hope

Being the funniest BTS member is a responsibility that falls on the wide shoulders of BTS Jin and fans enjoy every second of it. ARMYs who found out about the gift Jin gave to J-Hope on his birthday is now calling the older member out for being a "big spender". Staying in line with BTS’ song ‘Stay Gold’, Jin gifted J-Hope a Merdolino Gold toilet brush designed by designer Stefano Giovannoni, which was part of his collection presented in 1992.

The brush is as limited edition as it can get with only 999 numbered copies and 3 artist’s proofs. It comes with a PVD gold coating and sells for around at 250 euros ($285 or 340,000 KRW) which is way too much money in the minds of ARMYs but petty cash for BTS members.

But this funny present is not all that Jin gifted J-Hope on his birthday. He also sent a special birthday gift of a cake and a box of strawberries to J-Hope. Fans of BTS are well aware of Jin and his love for strawberries. As an inside joke between ‘2Seok’ (a name used for Jin - Kim Seokjin and J-Hope - Jung Hoseok), the older member sent the token box of strawberries with a custom birthday cake from Billy Angel Cake Company in Seoul, South Korea. for the rapper to celebrate his birthday on February 18.
