BTS bags three nods at American Music Awards '21: Air date, how to vote and watch
It looks like it's a big day for BTS and an even bigger day for K-pop. On October 28, it was announced that BTS received its nominations at the 2021 People's Choice Awards while other Korean acts like TXT were nominated for their first award at the American show. 'Squid Game' also received their first-ever American nomination. K-pop has been doing pretty amazingly at a global level but it has only made it busier for fans as BTS is nominated at another award show on the same day.
On October 28 itself, 'American Music Awards', also known as the AMAs, released their list of nominees for the global event along with the voting rules for the show. The list shows that BTS has been nominated for not one but three categories this time around and it seems like ARMYs will have to spend a lot of their time voting for the group due to the plethora of nominations BTS is seeing domestically as well as internationally.

The '49th American Music Awards' will air live on Sunday, November 21 from 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm ET (7.00 am - 10.00 am KST)
How to Watch
The '2021 American Music Awards' will be broadcast live from The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The event is produced by ABC and Dick Clark Productions in collaboration with Emmy nominated producer, Jesse Collins. The show will be broadcast live on ABC. The show will also be available to stream the next day, November 22 on Hulu.
BTS Nominations
This time around, BTS has been nominated in not one but three categories. Since 2018, BTS has been nominated for six titles at the American Music Awards and has always taken a win home. This time around, fans will have to work even harder to get BTS their wins as the group has been nominated for three of the bigger categories at the event. BTS is nominated for the 'Favorite Pop Duo or Group' alongside artists like AJR, Glass Animals, Maroon 5, and Silk Sonic comprising of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. BTS also was nominated on the 'Favorite Pop Song' category for their hit summer song 'Butter' alongside Doja Cat for the song 'Kiss Me More' featuring SZA, 'Levitating' by Dua Lipa, 'drivers license' by Olivia Rodrigo and The Weeknd & Ariana Grande's collaborative single 'Save Your Tears (Remix)'.
Not only those but BTS is also nominated for the biggest award of the night β the 'Artist of the Year' title which is now held by Taylor Swift. Alongside BTS, artists like Ariana Grande, Drake, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd are competing for the biggest title of the night.

Voting Instructions
On October 28, the voting lines for 'American Music Awards' began at 9.30 am ET. As all the titles for the event are fan-voted, fans receive one vote per day for each category. Fans can vote for their favorite artists up to November 16 via their TikTok accounts or from the official Billboard website.
