'Bullet Train': Two decades after 'Fight Club', is Brad Pitt approaching the twilight of his career?

The actor says he cannot confirm or deny if he is retiring as he is more of a 'what feels right for the day' kind of man

Fasten your seatbelts, it's gonna be a bumpy ride. 'Bullet Train,' the action thriller movie starring Brad Pitt, who plays the role of Ladybug, an unlucky assassin who's determined to do his job peacefully, is set to hit screens on Friday, August 5, 2022. While fans are waiting with bated breath to watch the film, there are reports that this may be the last time we see the 58-year-old actor on the big screen. 

The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Kotaro Isaka and from Zak Olkewicz’s script. It is directed by David Leitch. Columbia Pictures, Fuqua Films, and 87North Productions are bankrolling the project. It is distributed by Sony Pictures, and Sony Pictures Releasing. The film releases on Friday, August 5, 2022, in theaters near you. The official synopsis of the film reads: "Five assassins aboard a fast moving bullet train find out their missions have something in common." Along with Pitt are Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, Bad Bunny, Masi Oka, Logan Lerman, Karen Fukuhara, Sandra Bullock, and Zazie Beetz. Brad Pitt is a 58-year-old actor and film producer who has been active for over three decades now. He is famous for his role in the cult classic 'Fight Club,' an adaptation of the Chuck Palahniuk novel, directed by David Fincher. The 1999 movie had a huge cultural impact and made Brad an icon.

When did Brad Pitt start acting?

Brad started acting in 1987, with uncredited parts in the films 'No Way Out' (1987), 'No Man's Land' (1987) and 'Less Than Zero' (1987). In May 1987, he made his television debut in a two-episode role on the NBC soap opera 'Another World'. In November the same year, Brad made a guest appearance on the CBS sitcom 'Trial and Error'. He had to struggle for almost twelve years to get the label of 'just a pretty boy' off him.

In a career that spans more than 30 years, Brad has won 52 awards in total including the Academy Award for best supporting actor for 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' and another for best picture for '12 Years a Slave'. What is Brad Pitt's relationship status?

Brad had a much-publicized courtship and engagement to his 'Se7en' co-star, Gwyneth Paltrow, whom he dated from 1994 to 1997. Pitt met actress Jennifer Aniston in 1998 and the duo tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Malibu on July 29, 2000. In January 2005, Pitt and Aniston announced they had decided to separate. Two months later, Aniston filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. After Aniston, he fell in love with his 'Mr & Mrs Smith' co-star Angelina Jolie. Throughout 2005, the two were seen together with increasing frequency.

According to an ABC news report dated January 11, 2006, Angelina confirmed to People magazine that she was pregnant with Brad's child, thereby publicly acknowledging their relationship for the first time. The duo announced their engagement in April 2012, after seven years together, and were married on August 23, 2014, in a private ceremony. According to Deadline, Brad said he was past his middle age and wants to be specific about his projects. "I’ve never been a five year plan kind of guy. I’m just, whatever feels right for the day. I still operate that way," the veteran actor said.
