'Bullet Train': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Brad Pitt-Joey King action thriller

After the recent release of 'Kissing Booth 2', bright-eyed star Joey King is in talks to star opposite Brad Pit in an upcoming action-thriller titled 'Bullet Train'. The film is based on a novel by author Kotaro Isaka titled 'Maria Beetle' and, according to Deadline, Harvill Secker has also announced that the novel 'Bullet Train' will be released in the English language next year. Since the news just broke, details of the plot and characters are mostly still under wraps by Sony Pictures, but here is everything we know about the upcoming release.

Plot

According to Deadline, the film is based on the Japanese novel titled 'Maria Beetle' by author Kotaro Isaka. There are no official details on the plot yet nor has the synopsis been released, but it is reported that King will play one of the four leads in the film. Also, she is the only woman in the group. The Hollywood reporter revealed that the film is about a "group of hitmen and assassins with conflicting motives on a train in Tokyo". The publication further revealed that Brad Pitt's character is an American hitman who goes by the name Ladybug and Joey King's character is a teenage assassin who goes by the name Prince.

Pitt is an actor and producer known for his roles as John Smith in 'Mr & Mrs Smith' and Jeffery Goines in '12 Monkeys' (1995). His recent works include 'War Machine' (2017), 'Deadpool 2' (2018), 'Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood' (2019) and 'Ad Astra' (2019). His recognizable producing credits include 'Ad Astra' and 'Moneyball' (2011).
