Blackpink Lisa’s solo debut era may have ended weeks ago but she continues to make history and break records to the extent that she has also entered the Guinness World Records. Unfortunately, fans claim that her label YG Entertainment has done nothing to support her and if they had ‘Lalisa’ could have become even bigger. Adding up a bunch of decisions that the label has taken over the last few days, angry fans have gone on to ask for fair treatment for the K-pop idol.

Fans already knew that ‘Lalisa’ would be a smashing success on the day of its release when it crossed 73.6 million views on YouTube. According to Guinness, it became the most viewed music video by a soloist on YouTube. Previously, the record had been held by Taylor Swift for her music video ‘Me!’ in 2019. At the same time, the Blackpink star also made a personal record as her b-side performance video for ‘Money’ crossed 100 million views on YouTube within 15 days of its release. And fans are requesting YG to see how much more successful the solo debut could have been, had they done more than the bare minimum.

Lisa's fans want ‘more promotions' for Blackpink star's solo, claim YG 'betrayed' her

Lisa enters Guinness World Records

Lisa is the second Blackpink member to enter the Guinness World Records 2022. Previously, Rosé entered the book by becoming the first soloist and member of a group to peak at #1 on Billboard’s Global Chart. She did it with her solo debut ‘On The Ground’ which was released in March 2021. Lisa also broke Rosé’s Guinness World Record by having the most viewed K-pop music video in 24 hours by a soloist. She joins Rosé as the only K-pop soloist to reach the top 10 of Global Spotify chart with ‘Money’ reaching #9. Lisa is also the most followed female K-pop soloist on Spotify with 14.9 million listeners.

Fans slam YG for mistreatment

Well, with YG congratulating Lisa for ‘Money’s’ 100 million views, fans wonder as to why they cannot respond to the mistreatment allegations that have been going on for a couple of days. Lilies (Lisa’s fandom) continue to trend hashtags #BeFairToLisa, #YGTalkToUs and ‘YG Treat Lisa Equally’, but it seems to have fallen to deaf ears even after YG’s stocks fell. Fans first called them out after ‘Lalisa’ got almost no promotions. They were then upset when Bvlgari’s CEO revealed that YG had stopped Lisa from attending their events citing Covid-19 as an excuse while the other Blackpink members had been allowed to attend the Paris Fashion Week.

Fans also claim that YG is trying to divert attention by getting Kmedia to create rumors about Jisoo’s dating life and to debunk them. However, Lilies and Blinks are not falling for it as someone made a tweet, “It seems that YG try to divert the media's attention to Jisoo's dating rumors to cover the issue of how they mistreated and discriminate Lisa. Hahaha Clever. #PROTECTJISOO #BeFairToLisa.”

'Lisa deserves better'

They also sent supportive messages to Lisa, “Wish Lisa all the best to you. You did a great job this solo, both songs "LALISA" and "MONEY" broke records and achieved many achievements. Lisa, you deserve it, the effort you and your fans put in is well worth it. WE LOVE YOU.” Another commented on YG’s congratulatory post for ‘Money’, “YG Entertainment should treat Lisa with respect & allow her to grow her career by providing her opportunities & exposure. Despite extensive media coverage worldwide, we are disappointed that you made no attempt to clarify the issue till now. YG TREAT LISA EQUALLY.”

Some fans also think that race might have something to do with the mistreatment since Lisa is from Thailand, “Wen they say #lisa should be gr8ful dat korea allow her 2 debut. Yes, she is and always did. But is that a ticket to discriminate and be threaten? Stop RACISM. YG TREAT LISA EQUALLY...LISA DESERVES BETTER.”
