Blackpink has NO promotions yet unlike TWICE and SNSD, fans ask 'will they break any records?'

Aside from Blackpink, TWICE and Girls' Generation will have a comeback in August with the latter two having already released their teasers

August is the month that fans of girl groups are looking forward to with SM Entertainment's SNSD (Girls' Generation) making their comeback on August 8 with their upcoming 15th debut anniversary album, 'Forever 1'. Not only that but JYP Entertainment's TWICE is also making their comeback with 'Between 1 and 2' that will release late in the month by August 26. Aside from these two, YG Entertainment's Blackpink is also going to be making its comeback in August but fans are still waiting for a date, an album name, or even a teaser poster for the girl group's upcoming comeback.

On July 26, YG Entertainment announced that Blackpink members are in the middle of filming the music video for the title track from their August comeback album. While talking about the music video, YG Entertainment said, "The highest production cost has been put in for Blackpink." They added, "The whole process is proceeding smoothly as it was prepared in a structured way under a thorough plan." Despite this update, fans are talking about how among their contemporaries, Blackpink is the only girl group that is yet to get a comeback date or an album title for fans to set their goals for streaming.

YG Entertainment yet to tease Blackpink's comeback

With Girls' Generation making their comeback as early as August 8 and TWICE making a comeback at the very end of the month by August 26, fans of both groups are looking forward to the upcoming comebacks as Blackpink fans wait for any update from the label. Fans are pointing out that the label is not really doing a lot to promote Blackpink as much as other groups are because Blinks (fans of Blackpink) are extremely dedicated to Blackpink.

It goes without saying that fans will buy Blackpink albums and listen to their songs even if they were dropped without any promotions. The upcoming Blackpink comeback is their first comeback in two years after they released their 2020 full-length album, 'The Album'. A lot of attention is being paid to the news of Blackpink's upcoming release as fans wonder if the girl group will release a single album, a mini-album, or a full-length album.

Twitter fans are talking about how YG Entertainment is setting Blackpink up for failure. One fan said, "Teasers when?"
