K-pop's 'it girl group' is coming back this month with SNSD aka Girls' Generation announcing a new comeback celebrating their 15th anniversary. The girl group made its debut in 2007 and became one of the biggest K-pop groups of the second-gen of K-pop. Now after being on a hiatus since 2017, the girl group is finally making a comeback by releasing their anniversary special, 'Forever 1'.

Ever since the group announced that they were making a comeback this August, fans had been talking about how three of the biggest girl groups in the industry were finally going to make their comebacks in the same month. With Blackpink, TWICE and Girls' Generation all making their comebacks in August as well as powerhouse rookies, IVE too releasing a new album in the same month, SNSD has announced their new album that will prove how they led the way for all female K-pop groups.

SNSD announce release of 'Forever 1'

Girls' Generation will release 'Forever 1' on August 8 and will start their promotional activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut. Shocking Sones (fans of SNSD) all of a sudden, the girl group announced the title of their new album 'Forever 1' on July 25 as they released a logo image to herald their 15th-anniversary comeback. The upcoming SNSD album 'Forever 1' is their seventh full-length album following their regular album release, 'Holiday Night'.

It has been revealed that the upcoming album from Girls' Generation will have 10 tracks in total. Not only that but SNSD's ongoing JTBC variety show, 'Soshi Tamtam' has already released three out of eight of its episodes so far. The upcoming episodes of the Girls' Generation variety show will be released all over the month of August for fans to enjoy as part of their 15th debut anniversary celebration.

Over the years, Girls' Generation first became a sensation with their debut single, 'Into the New World' and more hits like 'Gee', 'Tell Me Your Wish', 'Oh!', 'Hoot', 'The Boys', 'I Got A Boy', 'Mr.Mr.' as well as other mega hits like 'Party', 'Lion Heart', 'All Night', and 'Holiday' over the years. SNSD is going to be restarting the 'Girls' Generation Syndrome' with their upcoming comeback 'Forever 1', which will open for pre-orders at various online and offline music stores from July 25.
